it is all over - Keller takes final goal kick .... another shut out for Keller - at home in the Capital Derby ...
Well done to Spurs. For some questions, the Spurs defense is okay. No King and Carr make it less, but Richards is a good leader and Gardner is becoming very good. Thatcher is not playing badly himself, and Ziege is always dangerous going forward - though I associate him more with the Roberto Carlos type...This in comparision to the shambles that Spurs had at the end of last season. Keep in mind that Keller is a better organizer than Sully. Also, don't expect Hirschfeld to take over the starting spot from KK. He may get a game or two for experience/KK rest, but not for the long haul. He is not quite ready (but in a year or two that may be a different story). Thanx for all who were able to do the pbp mid-week. Hope somebody can fill in for me this weekend as I got scheduled for the morning shift...
some info on Lars - anyone who saw Canada in the gold cup earlier this year saw him. He completely flabbergasted all 11 of us fans that were at the Canada - US game. He was playing for the Calgary Storm last year. I've only seen him play twice but he looked very, very good for a younger keeper.
Nice to see this bit in the above article... DREAM TEAM STAR MAN KASEY KELLER (Tottenham). Deserves his No1 Spurs rank.
True True!!! Kasey will hopefully have the kind of season that will get him an even bigger contract somewhere else in the Premiership next year!
Thus far Spurs have been linked with every striker known to man and they haven't signed any of them. If they want to finish in the top half of the table, they really ought to sign one or two before the deadline.
Not a darn thang!!! I just think that Keller could play for an even bigger club when he hits his true peak!!!
Spurs have been down the past few years, but they are definitely one of the "big clubs" in England. Over the long haul, only Arsenal would be bigger in the London area.
This is kinda funny. What is a "big" club? There are many "big" clubs that are in financial dificulty while Spurs are reportedly about $30mil in the black (a direct comparison was that of Spurs and Lazio, who have been banned from buying any players until they balance their books properly). I think one of the problems is that Spurs don't have the pull of Europe this year. But if we get a consistant goal scorer who doesn't get injured (Iverssen), then we will do well.
