Lots of fun going on in the Serbian team at the moment.

Ivanovic (who played 90 minutes in their 4-1 friendly defeat to Czech) had to break up a fight between Mitrovic (who, by all accounts is a Grade A Douche) and Nemad Tomovic (plays for Fiorentina). Matic has threatened to quit the international team because they're all douches.

Lovely. Wouldn't care much if Matic did give up the national team. Better for us.

Germany v Holland has been cancelled due to security concerns. Hopefully things go ok tonight for England v France.

Not a good time to be a fan or a player. Hope everyone stays safe.

This, (the Eng/Fra game), is gonna be one odd, ODD game of football.

What is the point of playing Ross Barkley and Wayne Rooney together?

Looking at the younger replacement alongside wazza presumably. Dunno... looks OK so far though, to be fair.

The US is mostly going the youth route which is good.

Bedoya being anywhere near this roster is a good place to start in terms of figuring out what's wrong with US Soccer.

    (He sucks shit.)

Arriola, Morris, and Wood are out hurt. Players playing in the MLS playoffs were granted stays with their teams.

We honestly probably don't have many options.

England just lost Sterling, Henderson, Kane, Winks, Alli and one other.

Would rather see Kljestan. This squad has zero width.

Good seeing McKennie in the squad, he should start getting as much game time with the national team as the US can afford to give him. Probably too early for Sargent, but good to see him there to get the initial experience out of the way. Agree with Brock that Bedoya has no right being in this team anymore. Hope he has more of a mentorship role with the younger members of the squad than a role as a starting player

That was my initial reaction to all of this. Basically they need to scratch any of the "golden" generation and bring in the new crop. Bedoya should be home.

As for mentoring, the young players would be better off watching Gole' - The Official Movie of the 1982 World Cup than learning about heart from Jozy Altidore.

There are so many other players that had potential and are now just...missing. Emerson Hyndman perpetually not in the Bournmouth 18. Gatt torn up by injuries. Julian Green just bottomed out. Joe Gyau in the 3rd German division. Gedion Zelalem...countless others.
