    Neuer blows it...making it 1-0. n00b-ass mistake..

Germany over commits and Poland make it 2-0 in the 88th. First defeat for Germany in 18 official matches.

First EVER loss to Poland they said. You had a few fellas out though, didn't you?

I thought shirley did OK but, tbh, it just looked like it wasn't gonna be your night with the number of chances you had... and GOOD ones at that.

As you say, throwing people forward and get caught on the break.

But WHERE was Neuer going on the 1st goal?

Yup...Lahm, Merte and Klose (retired). Still finding their replacments. Schweini and Khedira (leaders)) injured and no Reus available either.

I have never been a big fan of Neuer's aggressive goalkeeping even at the WC. Everything went right for him there but there is more room for error with that style.

That said, Germany on another day would have finished the number of chances they had. Hopefully they bounce back from this.

Minnows England held onto for a historic 1-0 win vs the mighty Estonia etc etc....

Anyway, came across this grand poem converging England game & GBBO on Yahoo comment section, enjoy!

Oh dear oh dear what can i say
I never thought I would see the day
When an English team without John Terry
Would be trounced by Mary Berry..

However it really should come as no surprise
That the public prefer to watch people baking pies
If things carry on this way
Mr Hodgson may well have had his day.

Watching a pie or a cake in an oven heat
With that the English team can not compete
If you think that is really boring
Watching England will soon have you snoring.

Flaky pastry, soggy bottom fine fine crust
Has turned the English team to dust
Forget about shots and players booked
Mr Hodgson goose is already cooked.

Same old story.. we had plenty of chances but couldn't put them away.

Having said that we've played the hardest away games, (Switzerland and Estonia), and done what we should have done... won.

Loic Remy scores for France from a tap-in provided by Gignac

Then he hits the inside of the far post after some great footwork and the ball spins out wide of the near post for a goal kick

I'm an Oscar fan, but he was total shite on Thursday. He's been placed on the reserve squad during training for tonight's game vs Venezuela.

Hazard with a goal today against Israel and he seems to be going the full 90.

    Very muted celebration from him.

KDB scored a brilliant free kick as well.

A good showing from our lot in the qualifiers, (10 wins out of 10, 31 goals scored and only 3 conceded), and, after that, I'm sure we can guarantee a rip-roaring success in the tournament in the same way we did after our most successful previous qualification where we won 9 out of 10, scoring 31 goals and conceded only 5 :)

That was for the .... er.... 2010 world cup :(

Baba played 90 minutes for Ghana in a first-leg 0-0 WCQ result against a made up country called Coronos.

Why does Costa not think he is a left winger when he plays for Spain but he does for us?
