Espinoza will be suspended, Besler and Zusi will be in national camp, EPB will be with the U-20s, and Dwyer is questionable. Something something Minnesota bombing down the left something something sans Zusi.

Hoping the starting line up looks like this:

    Medranda - Dwyer - Gerso
    Mustivar - Feilhaber - Ilie
    Sinovic - Ellis - Opara - SAS
    Melia

Please don't let Juliao start, please don't let Juliao start, please don't let Juliao start, please don't let Juliao start...

    Kempin?

Also Ellis apparently missed this weekend with a quad injury... so we could have just 1 CB available....

ROFL at Kempin. I think I got some wires crossed this weekend.

I edited the post. But for those of you who didn't see it, I definitely listed our keeper as Kempin instead of Melia because Memorial Day weekend.

If Ellis can't go, do we need to call someone up from SPR?

I'd imagine we will even if Ellis can play. With Ellis coming off an injury and Opara being Opara, you'd have to have a contingency plan of some sort.

In other news, Tyler Pasher was called up to the Canadian national team and will be unavailable as well.

Can only use SPR for league games if we have fewer than 15 players available. By my count, leaving Dwyer and Ellis out we still have 19 available for Minnesota if we recall all SPR loans.

Actually Pasher shouldn't have to report until after our game Saturday. He would be available.

I'd think SAS maybe? Or do we go full ******** it and do the 3-5-2?

God, we're going to have a losing record to Minnesota this year, aren't we?

    Sorry it's actually 14, not 15.

But that specifically says 14 outfield players, so player pool san keepers. That gives us 16 currently (SAS, Blessing, Feilhaber, Gerso, Iwasa, Juliao, Medranda, Mustivar, Opara, Pasher, Porter, Saad, Salloi, Ilie, Sinovic, Storm) - 18 if Ellis and Dwyer can go.

Also, the way that rule is written, it's begging for a Bradley treatment. If you've got 14 players available and need a CB, just claim your 4th forward is out with a random strain and pull up the CB from the USL club.

this game's on espn and is being called by adrian healy and kasey keller. thank god it's a home game. i don't think i could stand to watch/listen to it if it wasn't. healy is mind-numbing to listen to, and keller never has anything useful to say. seriously, keller is the worst.

And there's Opara's partner if Ellis can't go (and some will say even if he can go) Didic signed.

Signed for 2017 with options in 18, 19, and 20. Pretty good time to pull the trigger. Having EPB and Didic as backups through June/July will be yuuuuge.

Looks like it will be Didic, Ellis is out 'indefinitely'

Huh. Wonder if that was Vermes talking to Arena or if Arena wasn't happy with Besler? Either way, that makes me feel a lot better about this weekend.

EDIT: Ah, just saw the tweet. Former rather than latter.
