San Jose are the worst team in the league and are the only team eliminated from the playoffs so far. We're in a very heated race for the top of the Western conference where three points is everything. Posters, start your narratives.
Russell went 70 minutes yesterday, Rubio went almost an hour today, Salloi and Hungary play later today. I wouldn’t be shocked if none of those 3 start
Agree that we will likely start the same three up top and bring in the 3 international call-ups if needed in the second half.
Well, at least the Gerso, Nemeth, Croizet front line got a game under their belt together and hopefully will improve on their performance from last Saturday. With 7 games left, SKC really need to win at least 2 away games and all three of the home games to insure a first or second place in the table. SJ is a winnable game so lets hope they take care of business like they should.
And it was an all action Johnny performance, as well. I assume they're getting back to KC sometime Tuesday evening, Upside, no one was over here long enough to overcome the time difference, so they won't have to readjust
Per Sam, Russell and Salloi (whose game against Greece has yet to kick off at the time of this writing) are expected back tomorrow. Rubio is meeting the team in SJ, PV expects all of them to be available.
We should note that SJ also had three players on int duty, two with Georgia (vako played 84) and Kashia looks to have gone 90, and one with Albania (v scotland) Hyka who also went 90. I would suspect they have similar-ish issues with their lineup, as Vako from an admittedly limited amount of viewing looks like one of their biggest threats. No idea if they other two would have played or not.
I will be at the game. I doubt there are many of us. I will not wave at the cameras due to double fisting beers. I will also be trying to figure out why the nice new stadium is so empty.
It really does look nice on a screen. and given that their metro area as 8.7 million people, and a crap ton of hip, young millionaires and hip, young businesses that are supposed to be soccer's US base of fans, the empty thing never makes a lot of sense
I'd like to think that the SKC support could weather a bad decade. It probably couldn't. I remember the pre CMP days well enough to know the KC soccer fan can be a fickle creature. But I do like to think that as fantastic a time as people have going out they'd be willing to put up with a crappy team for a while. I say that because I live in Berlin these days, and the team i support is a constant dumpster fire on the field (except when Bobby Wood was here!) and it's three deep and shoulder to shoulder on the terraces. Every game is effectively a sellout, though they manage to shove a few more into the stands, despite the fact that everyone knows they will finish between 8th and 14th every season.
You'll figure that out in the first minute after watching our team. Also we have an absentee landlord owner who thinks of the Quakes as an afterthought, our GM is inept and our coach is incompetent. Other than that things are terrific.
Same starters as last week, with a ton of firepower on the bench. With Dallas’ tie, SKC moves into 1st with a win. Need Nemeth to get untracked.
To say Sporting is playing with confidence is quite an understatement. The passing is so fun to watch.
