Seriously, I have no idea what to expect in this game. SKC played Atlanta to a draw last year at CMP, but both teams have added a few improved pieces to their squad. The only difference is that Atlanta spent millions on their acquisitions while SKC spent thousands. I think a tie would be a very satisfactory outcome. I’m going to give PV some credit for preparing the correct game plan and predict a 0-0 tie.
SinceI believe Atlanta has scored 2 or more goals at every home game this year, getting a shutout will be highly unlikely. We will need to score to get something out of this game.
We also have a tendency to play good teams on the road pretty well, and last year we were one of the few teams that could really break down Atlanta and get them off their game. I honestly won't be surprised with any result; this one is completely up to the soccer gods.
If anyone could have a chance at holding ATL scoreless, it's probably us, but it's definitely unlikely. Gotta think guys like Russell and Salloi are going to be pumped up to play in front of that massive crowd and quiet them down with a goal or two. Maybe Shelton gets off the schneid!
if the day ever comes when shelton scores, i'm pretty confident he'll go on to score at least one more that game. unfortunately, i'm not confident that day is ever going to come. regardless, i loved his two notable headers last weekend (the one to salloi that he rocked off the post, and the diving one he put on the post himself).
Excellent play to earn that red. But Atlanta look at just as dangerous with 10 anyway. we arent putting any kind of pressure on mister fourth-string, which is super irritating.
Well. We totally stole three points there. Up a man for 70 minutes, and our goalkeeper was probably the most important player on the field... that shouldn't really happen hah.
We showed the league how to beat Atlanta. Get the goalie kicked out and play up a man most of the match. That shouldn’t be too hard to duplicate. I’ll take the points and go off to Minneapolis.
