Looks like it's impossible to use subtitles:

''It is nice to be here, it's a great oppertunity. I hope to do well and want to show myself to the manager. I am going to work hard and hope to be part of the first team after this training camp.'' He then jokes about the weather also being a good reason to join the training camp. ''It is nice to go on training camp with the first team, but my goal is to be part of it.' The interviewer then asks him about Van Wolfswinkel:' It is nice to play with so many great footballers. I can learn a lot from him, his positioning and timing are great as he has much experience. It's nice to train with him.'

Abiola Dauda has left Vitesse. Looks like Kai will be the third striker from now on.

  6. Young Vitesse got battered by Young FC Utrecht in a friendly with 6-0.

Vitesse won 5-1, but the club hasn't tweeted out any info about goals. We do know that Koreniuk scored in the 1st half.

    Koreniuk scored two today!

Edit: And now moves up to the 1st place on the topscorer ranking (together with two others) of the Tweede Divisie! Kai played least minutes and Jong Vitesse played one match less than most other teams, so Kai is first on the topscorer list.

He's the only one who didn't score any of his goals on penalties. One of the other two has five. He's a 30 year old defender. lol

Penalty goals are team contributions, not really individual. Most players make them most of the time, and the difference between your top taker and 2nd is what, .05 per attempt?

This has a very Zlatan-y quality to it.

(Cue the folks telling me not to compare youths to someone like Zlatan.)

The goalkeeper has a very Karius-y quality and the defender a Stones-y quality to it too.

No idea.. I don't think there is a very big difference between the 2nd division and the Jupiler League (second tier). They only created the 2nd division this year as a bridge between professional and amateur football. Previously, promoting was impossible but the level in that league was high.

my bad i got confused thinking 2nd Division was 2nd tier so it's actually a 3rd division ala England's League 1 is actually the 3rd tier.

What the heck is going on here? He was lighting it up for the reserve team, leading the league in scoring. That earns him an opportunity to train with the first team. But he's nowhere to be found on either level since (a month), and I haven't heard about him picking up a knock. That seems the most likely explanation, but one would think that info would have surfaced somewhere.

I was getting a bit excited that he'd break through because Vitesse doesn't look that strong at striker beyond their top option, and he was displaying great technique, killer instinct, and improved physicality for the reserves. Like Perez, EPB, and Wright; he reached an impasse, but at least there we get answers as to why, and they continued playing somewhere. If he's healthy and not playing with Vitesse, he could have came over to play with the u-20's, as an alternative to Ebobisse.
