Juventus vs Real Madrid Allianz Stadium, Torino Champions League Quarter Final 1st Leg Tuesday, 3rd April 2018 11.45 PT We're back at it again with the massively important game in the only competition we can win this year. Starting 11 is the big talking point before this game. Both for us and them. Hope Cristiano didn't cool down while on his little break last weekend. Guys....... i understand we have no motivation for league games but at least start threads timely for huge CL games like this. Don't really have the time right now to provide a better thread starter and more info but ya. HALA MADRID LESSSSSSGGGGGGGOOOOOOOO
C.Ronaldo going to tear jutentus apart just like he did last year because he's the best player in the world.
I'm confident we'll win over two legs. I'm less confident than when facing PSG though. Juventus is not a clown club like the french.
With so many players in form, it is very difficult decision to make by Zidane... With that in my mind I would prefer width again with Asensio, Vazquez, Kroos, Modric and Bale, Ronaldo in front. I don't think we need three players in midfield, we need cover for the wing of Douglas Costa.
So apart from the two suspended players Juventus have all their injured players available. Lol...... so much for the Juve lament a couple of weeks ago.
Asensio is stepping up so much since february. I admit I wasn't sure he could do it. I posted some rather embarrassing messages about him here saying I didn't believe he could be so good. If only this team was as good since the start of the season, we wouldn't be so far behind Barca ;( Now while not scared, Juve is a good opponent. We need to be careful. But who is more aware of it than Zidane I don't think he will go there thinking we already won.
Being back doesn't mean they are at 100%. While they just get people back, in our case we are reaching our best form with even subs doing great.
Kill the tie off and don't leave any lingering doubt. Juve will look to keep a clean sheet but we need to score early to intice an attack from them. I hope we don't show them too much respect on the pitch and we just show them who the boss is. Ronaldo is gonna be our key man but do not be surprised if Benzema scores a goal or a brace.
I doubt we will keep a clean sheet. Juventus might try to, but we will not sit back at any time in the first leg except maybe for the last 10 min. I don't see us keeping a clean sheet against your attack. You will score at least one goal.
If we get the first goal I see Juventus collapsing. A friend of mine moved our meet up to tomorrow and I accepted completely forgetting that we are playing so will miss this match.
People underestimating Juve because of the Tottenham game. They didn't play all too well, but had loads of injury. I'll take a positive tie out of Italy.
I'm looking solely at the players they are missing and those coming back from injury. I would be sorely disappointed if can't be opportunistic in this situation.
Hope we can control the pace of the game..that's the most important thing especially early in the match. We should have the mental edge over Juve due to last season's final and we must capitalise on that by bossing the game. An early goal from us would crush their spirit. Intensity...no silly mistakes and sharp finishing! Hala Madrid!
Still going to be tough, especially in Italy. Maybe the new stadium isn't intimidating as the Delle Alpi, but I think we should be more realistic in our expectations. It's not going to be a blow out win.
Ramos, Chiellini, Alex Sandro and Bentancur will miss the 2nd leg if they pick up a yellow card. Hope Ramos is careful with Nacho out. https://as.com/futbol/2018/04/01/champions/1522612505_581410.html
