Juve look for ground sponsor After agreeing a contract with Betclic, Juventus are now looking for a sponsor to name their new ground, which is currently being built. Betclic will give Juventus £7m for the next two seasons in return for shirt sponsorship, but the Bianconeri are looking for a bigger income from the company which will name their stadium. Sportfive is in charge of the negotiations and so far the most credited candidate is represented by the supermarket chain Conad, which is already set to sponsor the commercial area. Irish airline Ryanair may also be interested since the low-cost company is heavily investing in the Turin airport of Caselle. In the meantime, the Stadio Delle Alpi has already been knocked down and the new ground will be ready for June 2011 when the first game should take place.
Ya I hear ya. I'm already evisioning a trip to europe with a pit stop in Torino. I dunno when exactly but I see it happening
Ryanair ... I don't know if I'd want to be associated with that cheap airline. For those of you in the states, Ryanair offer cheap flights but are a little scandalous they advertise Barcelona but you land like an hour away from Barcelona is some little town. They advertise Milano, but you land in Bergamo. To add on to your inconvenience, if you have connecting flights they are automatically scheduled with some 6 hours separations so there is no chance you miss your flight. Then after spending all day stuck in an airport you finally get on their plane and they start greasing you, want a drink two euros, your bag is 1/2 a kilo overweight 20 euro surcharge. The entire thing is so inconvenient that after flying with them I looked forward to going back to a normal airline and paying more money. Ryanair aside I have to say I'm disappointed in the names being mentioned. I expect some bigger, international names.
Your right Ryanair is not nearly the biggest sponsor in the world. Hopefully they can attract better but a lousy product on the pitch hurts. At least new stadia are eventually coming to Italy with Fiorentina most likely to follow. Hopefully Italy can turn over all these old Italia 90 pitches in due time
Well we still have Giovinco. I'm pretty sure Secco will swap him for some dud and some fish sticks though.
Y build a 40000 stadium and in the breath say the facility can be expanded if need be. renovation is more costly than building one time. 95000 and 75000 people attended the BARCA and MAN UNITED game respectively. How can we compete on the market with these teams. Another big ERROR by president BLANC and company. Blanc strikes me as an idiot instead of a CEO
