As Disappointed as I am, I am glad we are not letting the players play in this weather. It might not be very safe and we could risk more injuries.
Even if they cleared the field, it would have been too icy and wet to play a good game.... a torino Nevicata allo Stadium Juve-Atalanta rinviata Situazione meteo complicata: partita rinviata ... 25 feb 18 - 17:38
Interestingly enough, we will play the very same opponents in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals next Wednesday.
Ugh I hope I don't have to miss UCL to watch this. Schedule it at like a 12:00pm kick off time if you do on those days.
I know. My weekends are ruined without Juventus. I can't wait for either De Laurentiis or Sarri to claim that this is an FIGC conspiracy to favor Juventus. Never mind that games have been postponed in the past for Nipoli due to the weather, even though people were posting videos on Youtube that showed it was actually a perfectly sunny day at the time. At least it was actually snowing in Turin. But they've never let truth or reason interfere with their victimized self-pity before. There's no reason why it should start now.
This postponed match could be a blessing. As mentioned above, obviously this means one less match before the Lazio and Spurs away double header. This team needed a break to recover. Serie A teams are entering a crucial part of the schedule in terms of league, domestic cup, and Europe. What a crazy two weeks this will be. Juve vs Atlanta (Copa 2nd leg) Lazio vs Milan (Copa 2nd leg) Lazio vs Juve Napoli vs Roma Milan vs Inter Juve @ Spurs Milan vs Arsenal Lazio vs Dynamo Roma vs Shakhtar Milan @ Arsenal Lazio @ Dynamo Inter vs Napoli
The conspiracy theories have already started about the game being postponed saying that it benefitted Juve. Never mind the fact that Atalanta played a game on Thursday and their announced starting lineup was missing a lot of their regular starters. This was a great opportunity for Juve, but now when they play Atalanta will have their players rested and they can play their full squad. Of course fans of others teams see it differently. Some have blamed the Agnelli's, since you know, they can control the weather apparently.
I know Calabria is south of Naples, but is it true that people from Calabria are extremely tempermental and extremely emotional, to the point that it is difficult to control their tempers, reactions, and what comes out of their mouth? Does this transfer to southern italy elsewhere?
I am shocked, shocked... or not: I should have known that it would not (only) be ADL or Sarri. Perhaps it's unfair to include them with the rest since they haven't said anything yet, but f*ck them. F*ck all of them. They've both said enough on their own in the past, so even if they don't join in with this latest bullshit chorus of conspiracy, that doesn't make them any different. Not assuming the worst about all of this league all the time is a bad habit that I still need to shake. But at least their power to surprise was lost on me years ago.
Juve has 6 games in the next 17 days, Napoli has 3. Can you imagine the complaining coming from the south if the roles were reversed? But I guess a schedule like this happens when you tank competitions on purpose.
And could you imagine the reaction if we had gotten eliminated from the CL, and then received a schedule as kind as Nipoli's as a result? Whether we had tanked (lmao) or not, the whole lot of them would hit. the. roof. Yet nobody notices, because they willfully ignore the fact that the Nipolitani will play half the games as we do in the same amount of time because the serfs intentionally tanked. And yet that's not a scandal, apparently. It's simply *crickets*.
The postponement Sunday did not help us. We would have been better off playing as we did not have a midweek match last week. Hopefully we are not too rested.
