Dybala has clearly played better when he is on the pitch with one forward rather than 2. He struggles when it is 2, and even more so when Pjanic and the 2 9's are on. He gets crowded out. He needs room to play. Hopefully, Allegri takes note.
He needs to be taking the FK's, more importantly Maxx is going to have to modify Pjanic role, then he will really excel.
Lemina is much better than Sturaro. Makes me sad that we have Stu actually. He really needs to learn passing and being a smarter player. Pjaca needs more games to get going. He has shown promise. But im not sure how much he can play once Cuadrado and Manzu are back.
Awesome game, thought Dybala, Higgy, Asabob, and Benatia were great. Best news is Dybala and Higuain are finally forming some chemistry, will be ridiculous once they actually have some real chemistry.
This Allegri rift stuff lookalike it has some legitimacy. This is the third major incident: http://www.football-italia.net/98540/allegri-bonucci-has-much-learn
This says to me the players must think he is going. Or he is really, really irritating and they are tuning him out.
This just seems like normal rag stuff tbh. I wouldn't read that much into it. We are finally starting to play good football and now they need something to whine about. Bonucci backed Allegri two weeks ago during the Dybala handshake crap. Wouldn't make any sense if he also had major problems with Max.
He is going to be fined for his outburst. I don't recall so many of these sort of incidents in the past.
What exactly happened between bonucci and allegri though? Why were they angry at each other? I am guessing maybe because he was tired and didn't feel like he could continue sometime in the game and tried to signal a sub, and got ignored?
Juve were in a 4-3-3 shape once Pjaca moved to left forward and Dybala in a Messi role on the right. Pjaca has potential but Mandzukic is a much better player both offensively and defensively. ------------Higuain -------Mandzu---Dybala --------------Pjanic -----Marchisio---Khedira Sandro---CB--Bonucci--Alves/Licht Or ---------------Higuain ---Mandzu---Dybala---Cuadrado ------Marchisio---Khedira --Sandro---CB--Bonucci--Alves/Licht
The chemistry was beautiful. Alves improves the teams possession play. He was quite good in this respect. Benatia's passing was fantastic. His long diagonals were so precise especially on Higuaín's goal. He has been the forgot man since Rugani and BBC have been very good when starting. Juve have a wealth of talent at CB.
The 4-2-3-1 will perhaps be a better fit but the issue is this will be unlikely with Pjanic sitting on the bench. Dybala and Fatso have connected well in recent games, but we have yet to see Dybala and Pjanic connect. That will be a crucial factor if Juve are to succeed in Europe.
Unless Marchisio isn't 100% fit to play and seeing as Khedira is a mainstay for Allegri, it's a question of whether he goes with Pjanic or Cuadrado. In a 4-2-3-1, Cuadrado and Mandzu in both cover so much ground in the wide areas with Marchisio and Khedira forming a partnership in the center. This enables Dybala to remain close to Higuaín. In a 4-3-3, Pjanic can't cover the way Cuadrado can. Dybala can't either and it would draw him too far right. It would require that Khedira or Marchisio move laterally when defending. Marchisio did that when Allegri played a midfield of Vidal, Pogba, Pirlo, and Marchisio in 2015. Either way Allegri almost always employs a 4-4-2 shape when defending. It may mean that Pjanic is on the bench, but either way it would be difficult to see either Khedira or Marchisio starting from the bench. Both are too strong defensively to go with Juve's more attacking players. It also depends on whether he starts Alves or Licht. Maybe Allegri plays both in place of Cuadrado in a 4-2-3-1.
good to see bonucci back, but this game Rugani and Benatia should start -----------Neto--------- alves-rugani-bena-sandro ------khedira--marchisio-- cuadrado---dybala---pjaca ----------manzu-------------
Rincon needs a start and Dybala hasn't had a break in a while. Khedira has played a lot too. A 4-3-3 with Marchisio, Rincon, and Sturaro could be worth trying to give rest ahead of Napoli on Tuesday. Juve's next few scheduled games as follows: Empoli, Napoli (Copa), @Udinese, Milan, Porto, @Samp, @NAPOLI, @NAPOLI (Copa). That takes us to April where Juve will play two CL QF matches if they advance. That is a pretty intense month and a half.
I think Sturaro is starting in the midfield with Marchisio, and Pjanic is further up between Cuadrado and Mandzukic.
