We end January on a very positive note, playing well and seeing our opponents falter. We have a big match against Inter and then need to keep our focus with four matches, including the reschedule one against Crotone, that look easy on paper and that we are suppose to win. We also travel to Portugal to take on Porto FC for the CL. Serie A 5 Feb - Internazionale 8 Feb - at Crotone 12 Feb - at Cagliari 17 Feb - Palermo 26 Feb - Empoli Champions League 22 Feb - at Porto FC
If we can beat Inter we should have a nice run through the league this month. When are the Napoli Coppa games?
does anyone know if beIN is showing this game? there is a Real Madrid game at the same time. There was once or twice where they showed our game on the main channel and showed madrid on the Spanish but with these guys you never know.
That's a lot of games! Porto-Empoli-Napoli is 3 games in 6 nights! That's after playing the bottom feeders who are going to be trying to break legs. Move the Empoli and Napoli games ffs!
#Juventus XI: Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Khedira, Pjanic; Cuadrado, Dybala, Mandzukic; Higuain. #JuveInter— JuventusFC 🇬🇧🇺🇸 (@juventusfcen) February 5, 2017
first real test of the 4-2-3-1. Marchisio still injured or is Allegri not wanting to mess with a good thing?
That was an amazing goal by Cuadrado, I like sometimes when he just goes for it. He redeemed himself from the previous wasted chance. Also Pjanic is having an overall good game. Mandzukic has found a new role on this team, man he is such a work horse and the way he defends is just excellent! In the 2nd half we need to score more goals and not just sit back.... if we do that against Inter we risk a tie or even worse a loss. They need to keep playing with the same intensity. Hopefully we see Pjaca in the 2nd half.
I'm at a bar in downtown Orlando with a couple buddies. We had to get the owner to buy the game for us on RAI since Beinsports has the AFCON final. That was a fantastic goal by Cuadrado! Before that the game looked scrappy.
Awesome strike by Cuadrado, or @Falc would put it, lucky strike by Cuadrado. Absolute best time to score. If we are being fair, it has been a tightly contested match so far, but for us actually taking our chance. Dybala has looked lively. Hopefully, the goal gives us confidence the second half.
Inter had few chances in the 2nd half, we also had our fair amount of chances but Handanovic was having the game of his life...
Add Inter to the "we wuz robbed" school of Italian clubs. Be interesting if this destroys them for a couple of weeks like it did to Roma under Rudi. http://www.football-italia.net/97984/pioli-inter-denied-two-penalties
'Add' merda? They're the founding member and president of that club. It wouldn't be merda if they actually accepted a loss with dignity.
Ma che partita! I got home late this afternoon, after the match was over. So I stayed away from everything and watched the tape delay on beIN. It was a nerve racking game and listening to Phil Schoen did not help. I kept telling the idiot to shut up. It was more of a shut up idiot, shut up idiot, shut up idiot like going lalalalalalalala so that I did not have to hear what he said. No one stood out but everyone contributed. Even that loser Cuadrado who hit a hell of a volley. He still annoys me with his brainless play. Dybala came on strong when he moved to the right. Just took over the game. Mario is just Super Mario. Higuain is more than just a striker. I can't say it enough, we have two of the most intelligent strikers around. Chiellini gave one of his Giorgio performances. Khedira and Pjanic were subtle but very effective. The number of balls they intercepted was amazing. One hell of a gritty performance today. These games define the championship.
What an end to end game! Scoreline shoulda been way more than just 1-0 We need to score more on these chances & as usual we still have issues dealing with crosses and corners
