yeah, it was an interesting decision. Normally it is supposed to go to the player with the most caps, but Bonucci had it against Genoa...interesting.

Dybala should have been sent off like 3 times

That’s all she wrote, 2-1 win, ugly for a good part of it, but they came back in the 2nd half.

Poor effort, but another win. The silver lining is that we have almost a perfect record while not having achieved what we are capable of in fluidity of play.

That bastard shouldn't even be allowed to think about having the captaincy.

The fact that he had/was given it against Genoa only serves to prove that he (and possibly the management, as well) has neither changed nor learned one iota from last year's debacle. Now this with Dybala...

I swear, the more things supposedly change, the more they stay the same.

    Dybala is so inconsistent...
He needs to find his grove, so far old Ronaldo is carrying this team. Dybala has been a disappointment.
I don’t know, he has skills, but boy he gives the ball away too much, he gets pick pocketed a lot.
I think this is the best Dybala will ever get.
Maybe look into give PSG Dybala and cash and bring in Neymar...

They really don't like to make winning look too easy do they?

Ronaldo second on the goal scoring and assist charts going into today. If he keeps it up wouldn't be surprised if he tops both by the end of the season. His fitness is incredible his age. His "flair" is about as useful as you'd expect in the Italian league though.

    Yeah.

This happens enough to make me think this is an Allegri strategery. It almost cost us again.

I prefer to score again and remove all doubt.

We need to move the ball more quickly. Particularly on the break.

In too many attacks we slow it down and then end up having to pull it back and work around the horn instead of hitting an early ball to the off the ball players early runs.

Sandro in particular likes to play with the ball a lot and would be more effective hitting a few first timers or early balls. That would help him set up his runs to the end line for pull backs.

MDS did a better job of just getting the ball in.

Our CM was too wide open on their breaks. Bentancur is not that speedy and looked tired even in the first half with unforced give aways and failing to cover when Empoli attacked at speed.

BTW, we did not filed our strongest team and didn't play all that well, but this kind of match shows why Serie A is superior to all the other leagues withe the possible exception of La Lisa.

Other than in Spain, maybe, no other league's 17th place team would be capable of playing as technically and tactically sound in a game against a top side as Empoli did. They were well organized in defense and when they attacked they did it with flair, creativity and with plenty of numbers.

And they have 6 points through 10 games!

I think that's by design. There were a couple of times yesterday where we could have run at the defenders and we purposely slowed it down.

Cristiano Ronaldo surely proved me wrong. I can't remember any forward at 33/34 years of age being this much of a protagonist with a top club I've seen a few Italian players do well at an older age but never a foreigner since the foreign quotas were open.

Trez was pretty good, but yeah. Ronaldo is still kicking at a high level.

Yes but Trezeguet didn't make his Serie A debut at that age as he had been with Juve since age 23. He was also pretty must done by the time he got to be Ronny's age of 32/33 years of age. after the Serie B climb and their first year in Serie A, it pretty much spelled the end for him.

He’s been good but nothing like Luca Toni’s 22 goals at age 38
