Can you believe Moise Kean? The kid just turned 19 and since January he has scored 6 goals for Juventus and 2 goals for Italy! This all in the last 3 & 1/2 months! I'm thinking back to other players who just burst on the scene and I can't recall anyone this young making a breakthrough with this type of impact. Not sure how long he will last at Juve but they made a killing finding him on a free transfer.
Mario Mandzukic who turns 33 in one month, will almost surely be on the transfer market come June, July and August. I can't imagine he will be starting over Keane next season.
Kean has the potential to become the next Ronaldo. Dybala on the other hand needs to just take over the Pjanic role. I just don’t see him being a good forward because he keeps getting destroyed by defenders and he isn’t physical.
Let's cool off on the Kean talk. The kid has a lot of promise but he also has a lot of game to learn. He scored yesterday but did very little. Still needs to figure out how to make his mates better. Dybala and Pjanic have the same issue. It is not when they have the ball on their feet, it is when they do not. Pirlo always put himself in position for his mates to find him. Not always the case with Dybala & Pjanic. Both need to become fulcrums of our play.
Dont understand why we do this. Sometimes its better to let them walk free than to hope to get money for 32+ yr olds.
I think the perception is that Mario will be needed given his big game experience, his work rate, and the fact that he has come up big in key games in the past. While that's all true, you have a kid on a truly historic run who is on great form. Even so Kean is far from the finished product, I think Max has a real decision on his hands come tomorrow. I can understand if he wants to start Mario, but I give him a short leash. If he doesn't do anything of consequence in the first 55 minutes, you have to pull him and play Kean. I think the same is true of Spinazzola versus Alex Sandro. Sandro has been shit all season. I would start Spinazzola. If I had my way, I would go with a three-man backline to neutralize the threat of their attack and play: Szczesny; Rugani, Bonucci, E. Can; Cancelo, Pjanic, Matuidi, Spinazzola; Bernardeschi, Ronaldo, D. Costa/Kean. I think Ajax are going to approach this game a bit naively, and the three in attack should find a way to find some space and create. That is why I'd prefer the pace of a D. Costa in this match to Mario's work rate and even Kean.
Gazzetta are saying we are going 4-3-3: Szczesny; Cancelo, Rugani, Bonucci, A. Sandro; E.Can, Pjanic, Matuidi; Bernardeschi, Ronaldo, Kean. If true, good to see Kean, though I would have preferred Spinazzola to Sandro. Hopefully Cancelo remembers how to trap a ball today.
Sure was quiet here considering that 8 straight titles was to be decided today. I wondered if there was a jinx to posting. NTL, Bravo Juve
