No way. They give away great maps and info and know where all the freebees are. And importantly speak English.
Seriously. The only real point of interest for me this international break is dread of the possibility of injury.
Yeah, the only matches that look remotely interesting are Germany-Netherlands & maybe Scotland-Russia/Belgium. The rest...woof.
I got talked into betting $10 on that damn thing .... and I don;t even want the US to win.... ffs.... (of course, I'm in an existential crisis here, because I usually don;t want Mexico to win either .....!) my two least fav teams!
Love Gini. Reminiscent of a LFC goal. Really enjoyed how he stood up to both Kroos and Tah in the first half too.
Georginio Wijnaldum and Dejan Lovren were both on the scoresheet during a successful Friday night for Liverpool's internationals. With an assist already to his name, Wijnaldum started and finished off the move for the Netherlands' fourth goal in their thrilling 4-2 victory over Germany in a Euro 2020 qualifier. Virgil van Dijk also played 90 minutes of the affair in Hamburg. Lovren's diving header, meanwhile, helped Croatia beat Slovakia 4-0 in Group E of the qualifying stages for Euro 2020. Also in qualifier action was Divock Origi, who played 55 minutes for Belgium in a comfortable 4-0 triumph in San Marino. Rhian Brewster made his England U21s debut when he came on as a second-half substitute in their 3-2 come-from-behind victory against Turkey in a European U21 Championship qualifier. Elsewhere, goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher kept a clean sheet for Republic of Ireland U21s in a 1-0 win against Armenia. But there was disappointment for Andy Robertson as his Scotland side fell 2-1 to Russia at Hampden Park, delivering a blow to their hopes of automatic qualification for next year’s Euros.
Sergino Dest - very interesting. Only 18 - will be choose the US or Holland? Edit - Dest definitely looks like an 18 years. Got roasted defensively regularly. But looks like a decent attacker.
Gini scores another late goal for the Netherlands. a very nice header. Bable scored 2 for them also, each well taken. FT 4-0.
There were a number of different international fixtures taking place on Monday evening, with Reds players involved in several of those at various levels. Firstly, Andy Robertson captained Scotland in Euro 2020 qualifying, but they fell to a 4-0 home defeat against a Kevin de Bruyne-inspired Belgium. It was better news for the Netherlands as Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum helped them to a comfortable win over Ragnar Klavan’s Estonia. Ryan Babal, the former Reds forward, netted twice in that one. You can watch Wijnaldum’s late header from that match which made it 4-0 to the Netherlands by clicking here. Dejan Lovren made an error which led to Croatia conceding, and it proved costly as they drew 1-1 with Azerbaijan. Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric had put them in front in that game. Elsewhere, Rhian Brewster got 15 minutes for England’s U21s side as they beat Kosovo 2-0, but he barely had time to make much of an impact. Harry Wilson played almost the full 90 minutes for Wales as they saw off Belarus by a goal to nil. Ben Woodburn, though, was left on the bench – very frustrating for him given that he could have played for Oxford United this weekend had he not been called up for international duty. The main thing, though, is that no one appears to have picked up any injuries from a Reds perspective. Tomorrow night, England face Kosovo with Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to feature in that one, with the potential for Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to come off the bench.
Interesting game. Got to watch with the sound off. 3 comms. 2 Yanks who are so impressed with themselves they've forgotten there's a game on. Ha, sorry it's not 2 yanks it's Casey Keller, useless git.
Yeah, 5-1 at the half and they try to go into control mode. Taking the pressure off the Kosovo attack. Now Sir Harry misses a PK.
A shocking 2nd half that followed a ruthless 1st. Eh, a win against a very motivated team from Eastern Europe.
Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold played as England defeated Kosovo 5-3 in a thrilling Euro 2020 qualifier on Tuesday. The Liverpool duo each completed the 90 minutes at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium, with teammates Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain unused substitutes. It was a successful evening for three other Reds, too. Harvey Elliott scored an early penalty as England’s U17s beat hosts Poland to lift the Syrenka Cup, while Caoimhin Kelleher and Sepp van den Berg were also part of winning teams. Kelleher’s Republic of Ireland U21s claimed a 3-1 away victory over Sweden in a Euro U21 qualifying fixture and Van den Berg was part of the Netherlands U19s side that beat Portugal 4-0 in a friendly.
