Emre made the Confed Cup squad last summer which left out a lot of senior players. He's 7th or 8th in their midfield pecking order.
You are making a categorical statement that is true. Not EVERY straightforward statement begs a question. However, in this particular situation, you're mistaken. To put a finer point on it, you're disputing whether acquiring Fekir would be a good move. So IF Klopp were to abandon that line, THEN Liverpool would either not spend the Fekir money or spend it on someone else. That was my point. So, to sum up, what Klopp would do other than continue to pursue Fekir is an unknown and thus is subject to question. See?
The funny thing for me is that Can is a dreadful player for a possession based, or transition based team (dreadful might be a bit overstating it, but he was by far our weakest link in midfield, and the weakest link for Germany when France took them out as he was targeted heavily). Meanwhile I think Sane is quite good and should have been brought in to the German squad at the very least as a super-sub who can run at them late in the game (ala Bale in the CL final, or something like Memphis in the 2014 WC).
How does one score 14 goals with a 0% shot on goal per 90? I think those stats should probably be fact checked. http://www.squawka.com/players/lero...eason-2017/2018#819#all-matches#1-38#by-match http://www.squawka.com/players/juli...eason-2017/2018#846#all-matches#1-31#by-match
Missed the fine print at the bottom of the picture. It's pretty fuzzy. Either way you're talking about a very small sample size. How many NT minutes have they played? What role were they used in? Who were the games against? Stats require context. But yes, you're the only 'bright spark' in this topic so thank you for providing such valuable insight.
It was a joke.... forgot the irony on tags. Well you're bringing up a valid point. The wingers are much more inverted under Löw so Sane often found himself trapped on the inside -fullbacks taking the space on the wing- trying his dribbling losing balls. The wingers under Guardiola act on the sidelines having space for the 1v1
Oh nevermind. I understand. You weren't accussing me of a begging the question fallacy... you were saying it naturally leads to another question. I got it.
Yes. when Reus is not injured he has a greater footballing brain than most.... and the uncanny ability to rapidly lock-pick his thinking
Yeah and how telling that would be considering the Buli champ makes less in tv revenue than the last of EPL.
Why take those other forwards if Muller is the 9? I'd be surprised if he were used there. Off of someone, sure.
