You don't know anything about them, only what you can see in these videos: Cristiano at 27 or Ronaldo Nazario at 21
Many people are based on statistics here what is good, here is the proposal to analyze both players based on a video of 30+ minutes in one season, there is nothing deeper than this. This isn't the thread that will change your life anyway.
I've actually watched bits of both videos but it is a unfair comparison R9 in 1997 was in his dribbling prime while by 2012 ronaldo had already begun to start dribbling less (had become more muscular and less mobile) If I was to compare both it would look something like this Dribbling :r9 Finishing:cristiano Speed:same Playmaking:same Heading:cristiano Long shots:ronaldo Freekicks:same (r9'was in 1997/98 a world class set piece specialist even if cristiano could shoot them from further out and from difficult angles his accuracy had dipped significantly (compared to 09/10 and 10/11) All in all they are very comparable and don't have a problem if you prefer r9s debut inter season over cristiano 11/12 A fairer comparison as far as dribbling and creating is concerned is 2006/07 cristiano ronaldo vs r9 1997/98 It can conclusively proven that cristiano 2006/07 dribbled with the same consistency and tenacity as prime r9.he was also a world class creator contributing heavily to Manchester United's attack.in fact he was by most accounts( in 06/07)Manchester uniteds most significant goal threat in addition to being their second best playmaker after Paul scholes "...However, Giggs believes the 2006-07 season was Ronaldo's most best, and said: "That season Ronaldo was unbelievable. "He scored 23 goals and made a lot, his overall play was unbelievable. "Last year, in 2007-08, I didn't think he was as good. But he did turn himself into an even greater goalscorer." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/f...s-better-two-seasons-ago-says-Ryan-Giggs.html John terry in 2006/07 "I could watch United just to watch him. He does things no-one else in the world is doing at the minute," he said. "He's the best in the world. At his best, not many people can stop him." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6561341.stm From a aesthetical perspective 2006/07 was the greatest season in cristiano ronaldo's career but he did not impress against big teams with a 1 notable exception against Roma in the champions league quarter final hence the reason I would rank it only slightly below his 2007/08 season Ronaldo dominated all individual awards in England in 2006/07 Best player Best young player Most dribbles Most assists He finished behind drogba in goalscoring but ronaldo was at this stage of his career a midfielder (a winger playing in a 4-4-2 formation)
the answer is in the title...but in resume to determine who is the best player, all you have are these videos to analyze, create your parameters now.
Its a pointless Analysis. Why these videos and not others? Are you trying to prove something from the videos and not the players?
Not sure if it was because he has become more muscular or less mobily (I think the last season at Manchester and the CR9 version were the most muscular of all and he was still at his physical peak), I just think he had less skills and athleticism compared with the last 3 seasons at Manchester and the first one with Real Madrid. For me from 2006-2007 to 2009-2010 was the best Cristiano Ronaldo version, more creative, skillful, still scoring many goals... I think Premier League being more tough, more physical and defense oriented than La Liga forced him to use more his skills and be the best version of him... the shittier defenses of La Liga could let him produce more numbers but I don't think he was the best version of him in Real Madrid than w/ Manchester... imo 2006-2007 version of Cristiano Ronaldo in La Liga could had made much more goals and assists than playing for Premier that time for example. The same goes to R9 as you can see in these videos, the defenses at 90's in Serie A were way toughier and violent than La Liga defenses now, no comparasion.
Except La Liga is more technical, where Ronaldo should’ve been able to use his technical ability much better. Mou era Ronaldo was more physical and muscular than Utd lean Ronaldo. Current Ronaldo seems leaner and faster than he was 2 years ago.
