Even if the site is reputable, a parent is literally the last person I'm going to take seriously when speaking on their child athlete's position on the depth chart.
If I wanted to improve the B team I would tell a parent that their kid would get first team chances.... like everyone else on the B team.
Local Junior Flores Back In Preseason With @BVB II After A Short Break Back In NOVA!#RepDMV pic.twitter.com/4fDot9kaZs— DMV Soccer (@DMVSoccer96) June 21, 2017
I had the same thought, looked at the current weather when I saw the photo and it said raining in the mid-50s. So it checks out.
Definitely looks like typical June NRW weather to me lol. Idk if it's current but they may have started a few days earlier than other Bundesliga clubs cause of Super Cup.
I know this is dumb, but I just saw CP's Instagram story from today, looks like he is still stateside on a golf course with his cousin and a few others.
That's not dumb! More bigsoccer posters need to get on the 'gram and twitter anyways, that's where the real news about players breaks!
Der #BVBII gg. @Preussen06: Reckert - Sauerland, Mainka, Pieper, Chato - Dietz, Ornatelli - Bockhorn, Pflücke, Dieckmann - Eberwein pic.twitter.com/OGbUAtI1Gz— Ruhr Nachrichten BVB (@RNBVB) July 5, 2017 FWIW Junior did not start (no info if he was on bench) for BVBII in a pre-season match.
Thats looks like the starting lineup. So its like his contract never ended. Same scenario as last year. They aren't going to let him play for the first team, he's probably not going to even play for the second team. Does anyone know who's advising him? He's getting horrible advice.
Or maybe he is on first team squad, which is why he didn't play for BVBII? lol just me and my optimism
Do we really know that's Flores and Pulisic? #22 shorts when Pulisic is 22 and the other guy's back is turned. I can't find the picture anywhere else on the InterWeb.
Pulisic has been in Hersey for the last few weeks, so no he's not in the pic. I believe BVB camp starts in a couple days
It was probably from sometime last season. I think the bigger problem is that Flores has essentially accepted the same role as last season. How could any contract offer he'd get from MLS be worse than this? Is money really so important at this point when you are 21 and have not played at a pro level yet?
There could be more to it than soccer. Very well could be something going on in his life that gave him a sudden need for cash which the BVB offer was able to help with.
I don't fault players for taking more money, but I find it hard to believe that the highest earner at a 4th/5th division team earns what the lowest earner does in MLS, but maybe I'm wrong.
Are we operating under an assumption that Flores is good enough for MLS or has had a recent offer from the league on the table? His links with MLS in the past have all been speculative twitter talk if I'm not mistaken. Has there ever been concrete interest from a front office?
#CrewSC (1st in allocation) rumored to have been talking to Omar Gonzalez and Junior Flores in June. American Junior Flores of @BVB II sidelined 3 months with ankle injury— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) August 5, 2017 He just re-signed, but this claims he could still leave the club, which makes no sense, if you consider the situation that he just signed with them, and they are willing to let him leave.
