Let's see how Roldan plays without Bradley or Trapp as the central cog.

looks like he injured himself in a friendly.
Not available to us @J_Green37 with a partial rupture of the inner band.

The "Innenband" is the medial collateral ligament in the knee, and a partial rupture of it is bad news. At the very least a month out, more likely close to two.

PS: With the history of complications our guys have, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the season for JG.

That's a drag. Was finally starting to put together a fairly decent season.

The winter break is coming up. It runs from December 21st to January 28th and there's only five games left until then. With a little luck, he could miss only half-a-dozen games. Not that much in a 34-game season

Yeah, no harm being optimistic but it's still a shame. Hope it's relatively minor.

If Julian can get healthy, I'd love to see him in camp for the two March friendlies (vs. Netherlands and Wales).

Greuther Fürth Resumes Training in 'Better Conditions'

SpVgg Greuther Fürth started winter training. On Sunday, head coach Stefan Leitl headed the first team practice of the Franconian second division soccer team for the calendar year 2020, and had 22 healthy field players plus three goalkeepers at his disposal.

'Everyone came in the condition we could have hoped for,' said Leitl. Captain Marco Caligiuri will be completely reintegrated into the training after his muscle injury in the next few days. Julian Green is said to be ready since the training camp in January 13 in Belek, Turkey.

Happy if Green is back. Hopefully he gets his form back as well. He was playing pretty OK this season.

Important game to see where JG is at this point, and see if Tillman gets minutes. If you're away from home and have no other way to watch, you can try here. It's safe and good quality.

Yes, JG is playing RW with Max Wittek, also just back from injury, as the LB. Risky, IMO.

Veerman scores for the SJWs but he was pulling Jaeckel back, so it stays 0-0. Fürth needs to secure the defense or next time it's going to be a goal 'for real.'

    ---

Green seems to have shifted to the right after the scare and is getting manhandled there. He actually seems to be playing a free role, appearing wherever the ball goes and taking the corner kicks from either side.

    ---

Green keeps playing his High School Libero role, appearing at the back, in the middle, on the right, on the left, in the area, etc. and losing the ball. Not impressed with him today, so far.

    ---

Julian challenged Ohlsson who must have 50 lbs. on him and may be out.

    ---

He's back in! Limping a bit, took a lickin' but it's kept tickin'.

    ---

Nope. Green tried to run and went down again. Seems he's getting subbed now. Bad idea to challenge a guy much bigger than you when you're still wonky.

    ---

And at the 32' mark, after six turnovers and running around the entire field, JG is out, barely able to walk on his own.

Furth currently 7th, with 28 pts, in a fairly compact table.

2nd place HSV at 31 pts, 17th place [of 18] Nurnberg on 19 pts.

    not good season for him.

    -expiring 2020 contract.
-injured from mid-Nov-present with 2 months and a half to go.
-only scored once post mid-September for attacking player
-Going back the contract thing, what club from 1BL would even be interested at this point? Seems like he'll be stuck in 2BL if he stays next season in Germany.
