brutal, Green played full match in a 6-0 trashing loss to Paderborn. Also picked up a yellow at 62nd min.

Furth have been putrid, going from promotion chasing and have been hurling themselves down the table like Happy Gilmore paired with Bob Barker. That locker room is not okay.

Has the (maybe a?) coach been fired recently? If not, expect some serious changes soon.

Green is one of three Furth players to earn the dreaded "6" rating from Kicker for Saturday's match.

the new Furth coach Leitl's preference is 4-3-3 while Buric went with 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 or 3-5-2.

Green played 90 minutes today in a 1-0 win under the new manager. I believe he also won the decisive PK, which Keita-Ruel missed (and then finished the rebound).

I did not watch the match but WS (7.9 with 4 tackles) had him playing CAM in a 4-2-3-1.

From the highlights looks like Green was active and did draw the penalty off an attacking dribble that started wide. The dribble was similar to his first ever US match when he should have drawn a penalty v Mexico.

Kiel sent the goalkeeper up and equalized off a set piece on the last kick of the match. 2-2 final.

Along with the goal (his 2nd of the season), Green played 90 minutes.

Green had a WhoScored 7.5 and a SofaScore 7.0 both 2nd best on his team.

Reese, who is a Schalke loanee and one of the reasons I watch, had 3 great opportunities to score (2 created by Green) but could not convert. Julian was again defensively very good from the #10 slot but seemed to lose the ball a lot in this match. Furth remains dreadful on defense especially against set pieces.

It just goes to show how different coaches have different requirements. Julian seems back in favor and central to what the squad does with a new coach in place

Happy to see him back and active again. His and the teams shocking change in fortunes was kind of... shocking.

He was never out of favor with the previous manager, Buric kept playing him against better opinions. No idea what you're talking about.

Julian flexing his Xabi picks up his head and delivers a 50 m field switch from just outside his own box

Julian is dropping deep in line with the #6 to help distribute. He seems to have a free role.

    Half time, 0-0.

We saw 3 aspects of Green
deep: drops back to help relieve pressure and help to start the attack. Some long ball switches.
midfield: plays with a lot of grit and covers a lot of ground side to side. Attempts to play quick one touch passes which his teammates often does not see or return on his runs.
outside attacking box; Shoots if there is even a glint of a shot!

Caliguri with a great save running behind the wall on a FK!

Julian gets body checked 5 M outside the touch line with no yellow card.

New aspect; Julianfrom the right side serving in great FKs into the mixer!

Green gets the ball wide to feet and cuts in beating his mark but serves a poor ball with teammates in the box. Has to do better there!

There is a dust up as furth's DM slides and wins the ball but gets a YC. Funny seeing Julian intercede between Ernst and an opponent who is a head taller than Green with Green in his face (chest) pushing the opponent back.

Julian with another accurate long ball big switch right to left. Rau balloons the cross with 2 teammates in the box wasting the chance.

Match ends 0-0. Pretty entertaining with both teams attempting to actually play along with much grit.
