I did some research on T'markt. One starter in the CM pairing is 26 year old French-Algerian named Mehdi Terki. The DM and captain is 31 year old Belgian Killian Overmeire.

Overmeire has been out with an abductor tear since the end of October. Terki's initial partner was 21 year old Senegalese midfielder Joher Rassoul. However, in the last game against Gent, Torres was given the nod over Rassoul.

So we'll see if Torres maintains his place after the 3-0 home loss. (In fairness, two goals were conceded late after Lokeren were a man down.) In any event, both Torres and Rassoul could be back to the bench when Overmeire returns, which was said to be 4-6 weeks from the beginning of November.

Nice insight. Lineups for today's game should be out in an hour.

LOL Both of Lokeren's starting CMs got red carded today. Should help Torres get more playing time, which he deserves anyway.

Why does Torres deserve more playing time?

Because he did well on his debut and because he is an 18 yr old who is talented enough to start in that league.

Sucks, but his moment will come. He's only 18 and Anderlecht are a tough team to play for an inexperienced player. He will get his shot for a full-time starting role, just has to keep working.

In the last league match, both starting CMs were red carded.

Yes. Rassoul is back in the lineup for some reason and while Terki is out, he has been replaced by 25 year old Frenchman Julian Michel, who is making his first start of the season.

I don't think he was a consistent starter...

Also, Tyler Adams has had to play at RWB to get him on the field, rather than replacing more established CMs. So it is very hard to get a starting spot in that position at that age in MLS.

Mihailovic was a consistent starter by the end of the season. He started in the playoff game

Obviously he'd have to earn a spot with any team but he's got the talent to start for an MLS team. He is a defensive mid.

Depends on the MLS team. They’re not all equal. Torres would almost certainly be with Atlanta where his competition would be Carlos Carmona and that’s a tough guy to play over. He has 50 caps for Chile & Serie A experience
