According to Ives Galarcep, Juan Pablo Angel obtained his work visa today. We can see him play for RBNY as soon as tomorrow against the LA Galaxy for the US Open cup if he does not then he will most likely play on Sunday at Giants Stadium hope he has a good first game and scores to get himself in rhythm.

Pardido the US Open Cup.

I'm really happy to see JPA scoring again after so much time that he wasn't even on the bench in england. 3 goals in 3 games and he's in the right direction. most probably that the Angel will not get called for the NT again (he'll be 32 in October, but you'll never know maybe Pinto will surprise us) but I'm happy to see him plays again. he's a great forward, players like him don't lose their talent in one day. he came to england after great time in River but Villa wasn't the right place for him. he was 6 years there, and just one year he actually scored many goals...he should had to leave Villa in 2004 when I herd that Betis wanted him. I can imagine what was happened if he would go to the Spanish football...probably succee much better becouse he familier with the type of football there, unlike england--one of the most ugliest & boaring type of football in the world. so GOOD LUCK JUAN PABLO.

I highly doubt he will be called up at least I hope he wont we need to let younger talent play on the NT. It is good to see him playing again. In contrast to what you say I think the game in the EPL was just to fast for him. Boaring for me is to see the ball past back and forth and from side to side and wondering when an attack will actually happen.

I hope JPA keeps playing well.

the second goal was pretty sweet, he faked Armas out, I watched the game, and although the game wasn't as dynamic as watching games from other leagues, at least they don't have those boring announcers that the mexican league has, and are actually pretty beareable.

I watched the match as well. I dont think I've watched a full MLS game in 8-10 years:eek: ! In any event, I'm going to throw this out there... JPA is the only striker right now scoring goals... Seleccion ???

Yea, I haven't watched a full MLS since Pibe was in Tampa, and back then it was just a couple of games, but Angel might be called up, don't know, but if people wanted Galvan Rey, I rather have Angel back in the NT. Maybe he'll finally get to play a Copa America, and be called up for Venezuela's.

Angel scored an amazing goal in a 3-0 win against Chicago. Held the ball inbetween his feet, allowed the defender to attempt to take the ball away on a sweep move, but he missed and Angel had an easy tap in. Pure Class.

To all the Colombians in the NYC/NJ Area. Where are you guys? Don't you want to see one of your own playing at the swamp? Fill up the stadium and see him put in more goals?

June 16th Kansas City Wizards 7:30PM on a Saturday Night at the swamp. Come on guys support Angel and support RBNY. He is truly pure class.

NYRB has to do a better job marketing it's current success. It HAS to go where many Colombians live and reach out with special incentives/deals...

In fact, IF I WERE THE HEAD OF MKT for NYRB I WOULD 100% have JPA and maybe 2-3 NYRB stars go to the Colombian parade in Queens and festivities in FM Park, have them set up a tent and have JPA & Co sign autographs WHILE PARENTS/FANS buy SEASON TIX and 5-6 game packages... With over 500M Colombians showing up to these events it's easy pickins'!

try to borrow some colombian league players... maybe ull have success like u did with Toja in Dallas. Oltavaro in NY would make me an MLS fan haha tho he is wanted in argentina but stupid america de cali wont play him...

the thing also isnt that colombians dont no its just angel is too old... we kinda just care about who can help our NT right now... I mean Angel has had 2-3 bad seasons in england were he was one of the top goal scorers and then ahs baisically been a let down for a while and now in NY he is tearin it up because its a bad league.

ALSO GET NICER UNIFORMS !! ew !! whats the point of havin the red bull in like 8 spots on the shirt.. 1 is good enough
