Narvaez hoy hará su debut como jugador del Betis frente a Barcelona. Va a jugar como centrocampista.

What a lion's den to make your debut. Poor kid.
Happy he is going to start though. Hope he can show something. Anything.

Yep. I'm very surprised by this; he wasn't the quickest or most technical from what I remember of him.

Setien lo ha utilizado toda la pretemporada en el mediocampo, así que si lo pone de titular es porque le gustó lo que le vio en esa posición. A mi nunca me pareció un goleador y si nos sale un buen mediocampista box to box apoyo el cambio.

Just searched him up on youtube. He wore the 10 for Betis B and looked pretty fancy on the ball.

He left at such a young age that it was hard to tell what he'd end up being. One of those kids who clearly have a lot of talent but no natural position. Very common these days, IMO.

Betis' best man in the first half!

Had a great steal as Messi was beginning a darting run. Had a fantastic dribble and pass that should have tied the match, too, but his teammate botched it badly. (at least I think it was him...)

Looked very comfortable on the ball, some good passing and tackles. I'm very excited to see more of him this season.

IMG_5531.PNG Bueno por lo que he leído en redes sociales , los del betis no quedaron muy felices
    Lo pedían como primer cambio

Dicen que el titular debe ser García sobre el

Un ejemplo de lo que he leído en general

Missed the game. Glad he did okay.

The good news is we will be able to see a lot of his matches on television since the Mexicano Guardado is also on his team.:p

For whatever reason they don't like the kid at all, he made ONE stupid foul near the box and only lost the ball a couple of times. Other than that he had some good tackles, had a beautiful pass that put the striker one on one with the keeper (I wonder why they didn't tweet about that?) and had some other decent passes.

Considering this was his debut AWAY vs Barcelona I would say it was pretty good. He'll definitely get more chances, hoping he delivers.

    Why always the Colombian victimisation

I watched the match and he didn't impress me at all....a lot of bad passes and very shy ...yeah he had good movements and some details of technique ....yeah and we can disagree about his performance ...but he didn't do anything so especial to say that he absolutely don't deserve observations from Betis fans

I Understand that was a difficult a match and more for a debut

Don't surprise me if next match he isn't starter ...but is normal

In reality there was a mix response from fans. I don't believe its reasonable to be overcritical in someones debut especially considering who its against, but a lot of fans like to overreact. Remember the whole team was pretty poor and this a team that finished 15th last season and lost 6-2 in Camp Nou.

I liked what I saw and hope to see more from him.

Played all 90 minutes. Seems like the coach has a lot of confidence in him. He is good on the ball and has solid passing. He needs to work on the positioning aspect a lot, on both ends, and to be more involved in the build up and creativity. Hopefully he is able to grow into that CM role, it would be great for the national team.

I guess play-style wise he is like a modric, in terms that he likes to dribble and look for quick passes. He does a good job tracking back and does well at reading the play defensively for tackles or interceptions. He needs to be stronger on 50/50s and needs better positioning. His touch lets him down sometimes in tough situations.

It'll be interesting to see how he develops, the coach definitely sees something in him and you can see his quality on the ball when he plays. A player to keep an eye on.

This kid is freaking solid in the midfield. He shows a lot of composure. He needs to be called up. Pekermans scouting needs to step the F up!

The kid has flaws, but he is GREAT on the ball. He completed 98% of passes, transported the ball well.

As Hovaa alluded to, his areas of improvement are positioning and, for me, intensity.
