Barcelona are looking to lose and Juventus to advance.. that said Will this be the first time we had 3 Colombians in 3 different teams at a UCL semi final? Follow up Have we ever had two Colombians face each other in a UCL final?
Seeing as I believe only James and Córdoba have won the the Champions league then I say yes to your questions.
I think it was a tactical change to play with 3 CBs and to exploit Monaco's LB tendency to go forward. Since Alves found acres of space and 3 of the 4 goals Juve scored originated on him, I think Allegri was a genius. Against Real Madrid 4-3-3 they might want to play again with the Alves/Cuadrado combination, but who know how Allegri will setup for the final.
I heard the same thing on ESPN FC. According to Gab Marcotti who has followed Juve for many years now he expects Cuadrado to start against Real. Partially due to tactics but partially since Allegri wants to be more aggressive and keep more possession against a team like Real.
I hope so guys because if he doesn't start the final that would be some bullshit seeing how he's started all season.
correct - Chelsea will receive a transfer fee of €20 million, to be paid over three years. http://www.espnfc.us/story/3131867/juan-cuadrado-completes-permanent-move-to-juventus-from-chelsea
To be fair Alves has been the most influential player on Juve over their last 2 weeks, was MVP of the Monaco semi-final and has been amazing lately. Can't knock the coach or Cuadrado, Alves has just been playing possessed lately.
You think that Cuadrado will be able to actually develop his assist and goal scoring abilities? He's always been that player who doesn't make a direct influence of a goal yet works well enough with the team.
Think he had a clause on his contract if they win champions league they need to pay more money. If they buy him before the game they save. So it's a no brainer
Cuadrado has the second most assists for Juve this season, same as Dybala (7). When you look at the stats (see sqwaka matrix here), he is on par with Dybala and ahead of Pjanic and Mandzukic on a per 90 min. basis. If I have a wish regarding JGC is that he shows us the form of 2014 with the NT and that he works with James and Falcao as well as he did with Dybala and Higuain. Other than that, I could care less what his numbers are.
Yup I only care about our players winning Colombia trophies. It's always awesome to see them lift a league title but I want to see James lift a Copa America and a World Cup
