Lucky for us that CONMEBOL is a stupid federation which will make a back to back Copa. I don't care about the current Copa, we can handle without him, I'm more afraid how is he handle the situation as @Azucarero said. It's a huge test for the new Quintero.
Lol I never thought much of Copa America, but the fact that we’re having 4 editions in a 5-year span reaaaalllly brings down the value of it even more
Without a doubt. Although I liked the old 2-years version, but also liked the all-America's version, before Qatar and Japan came along. Anyway, I agree that the Copa lost its value because of this and the Centenario editions.
God Bless and speedy recovery. HE is one of the last true creative artists of the game. Hopefully he comes back next year stronger and hungrier than ever.
Having the Copa in 2020 is a blessing and something for him to strive for during rehab. It is a Special Copa America for JuanFer in two ways: 1) Part of the tournament being being played in Colombia 2) The Final is at River's home. (reportedly) Would be cool to see him get a standing ovation from some argentinos in crowd as we lift up a trophy (I dream).
Oh man....I just woke up and thought the last dozen posts were part of a bad dream I was having. Sadly that is not the case
Hope to win both Copa America’s like Chile did then win the confederation cup and then actually make the World Cup haha unlike Chile. Which of the two copa americas gives us a ticket to the confederation cup?
The Confederations Cup is officially dead. Instead that summer before the World Cup there will be an expanded Club World Cup.

i prefer and a nice jersey.......if that means white shorts or socks... i prefer white socks actually in all cases
Good article. It's always nice to see a sports journalist value creativity, even when it means sacrificing discipline, specially in defensive duties. I think most players should be reminded of the importance of discipline, but people (specially a coach) need to also realize that there is a small percentage of players that don't fit in the mold of a blind follower of rules. Players who are natural leaders are often given the freedom they need, but Quintero is not a leader type unfortunately. He needs to be encouraged all the time and at River he gets that support.
I know what you mean but the 'life' of a professional player is rather small and you have to take it when it's there to be had. If Gallardo receives the right kind of offer (inevitable), he will go and all of a sudden JFQ is in limbo land. He's not a prospect any longer and he should move on given the right circumstance.
