I don't know, but I remember when I first joined this thread there were more people critical and doubtful of him than there were those supporting him. If people are backing him so much now it's because he has won their hearts on the field.
Lads it is with great pleasure I can announce that Juanfer Quintero is at it again.pic.twitter.com/msfEGY07L1— Jayfuz (🗣️Rufus, but Jay) 🏴 (@Jayfuz) February 24, 2019
It's like he's playing in a pick up game the way he dominates games at times. He completely controls a game on his own, dribbling, breaking the lines, playing people into space the guy is a joy to watch and plays the game beautifully. He's like a poor man's messi in terms of his vision/execution and the way he plays a pass breaking the lines then makes a run into that space to receive.
Turns out his new contract release clause will be $30,000,000 (~ €26,500,000), approximately 4 million euros more than what was originally speculated. I've loved the guy's style since the very first minute he put on the jersey, way before he crowned himself against Boca. Watching him play really take me back to the 90s -- players like this just don't exist any more. Hopefully he never leaves River..
This team and league was the best thing to happen to Quintero. Seriously, he's showing so much heart and passion. This is the perfect place for him to stay long term. I am gald that River got him on the right track.
Totally. And at first I was afraid that he won't fit physically or that his character will ruin for him again. I'm glad that so far he's not only one of the best in Argentina, he's one of the best in South America. I don't believe that he'll stay until 2022 but I hope. It's much better for us then to see him battle again in some average Euro team just when he is about to become an important player for Colombia.
We really have to do give credit to El Muñeco He probably sees a lot of himself in him and other creative contemporaries from his generation. Took him under his wing and has inspired him.
JuanFer and Santos Boree set to start again. Carrascal not even on the bench. It is set to be an eerie and strange match with an empty stadium due to the violence in the Final.
I hate those matches, they feel more like training sessions than official games. Only plus is you can hear the coaches cursing at the players.
Nothing happens to these guys for months on end, but come around a friendly or cup and all of sudden injuries strike. It’s actually quite eerie, smh.
Wow... The dude's grandfather just past, and now he won't play for the better part of a year. I worry about how he's going to handle this...
Good point. He’s been on a such a good run for the past 15 months. Hopefully he can bounce back and be a core player for the WCQs - will basically see him play again in 2020 - hopefully I’m wrong and it’s sooner Article about the injury: http://www.wradio.com.co/amp/nota.aspx?id=3878315
