I think this is exactly what happened. I'm sure members of the FCF promised him the role at some point and led him on as well. I can't believe though how he ever thought this would work out any differently. If him and Rueda were at some point on some type of similar path to lead the NT, this latest showcase has put him in the worse light and I just can't ever see him being in the running any longer...he shot himself in the foot with this one.

Paraguay has to start over again. Hopefully it helps us in the Copa America.

Might be the new coach of Atlético Minerio in Brazil.

Chile’s old coach who failed to get them to play well might be the Sevilla coach. Why aren’t Colombian coaches given shot in Europe. I mean Pinto go super far with Costa Rica and what was his best offer Millos and a worse Concacaf team then Costa Rica?

Pinto's temper and problems with his players doesn't help his case. As for the rest of the coaches, it's my understanding that most don't have the required minimum updated coaching accreditations required in european clubs.

You bring up Pizzi in such a weird way. Comparing apples to apples Pizzi played in Spain and probably has connections there. Also, he is Argentinian which (like it or not) gives him credibility. Colombian coaches are rising up the ranks when it comes to global respect but there's still some work to do.

So saying why don't Euro teams look at our coaches is kind of a silly question given your example.

He was at Atanasio yesterday and watched Nacional lose. Autuori will leave and the latest rumor is that Osorio will fill in. I would like, of course, but without a normal squad, even Pekerman will fail here.

Guy is an idiot he should have stayed the Mexican coach

Huge downgrade to go to Paraguay then to Nacional

Hope he does well for Nacional but from a NT he should have gone to Europe or stayed with Mexico.

The cynic in me says he knows exactly what he is doing.

IF Queiroz fails while he has Nacional winning championships and looking good in Libertadores/Sudamericanas then he knows he may be a candidate to step in.

He is like a vulture waiting for the scraps.

He couldn't stay as a coach Mexico because they didn't want him to continue. I do agree that he did a smelly trick with Paraguay but to be a coach of Nacional U don't see it as a downgrade. He didn't coach neither Brazil nor Argentina.

I dont understand how people in colombia can still defend Osorio. He has left a very bad image in Mexico and Paraguay and his behavior was questionable.

    Great Question.
Maybe if our mediocre journalism did their job and asked questions we would have a better idea. but since we dont we will just hear praise as "the men to recontruct nacional.." my god.
