Exactly, give the kid a taste and bring him in to train with James/Falcao etc. Great players adapt and grow with their surroundings, certain talents need that atmosphere to reach their peak and rewarding him pushes him and others as well, let the older guys see the young generation that will be coming for their spot. If he was just a goal scorer it wouldn't work, but he is polyfunctional and has a wide skillset that adapts well as a young player to higher levels.

Also the pre World Cup camp is different then any other camp because you have more time to train and work with players then any other international camp. Its why before 2014 you saw new players that weren't involved brought in and a new formation and system used, you have the time to get players used to each other and get a really long look at people. If he doesn't make the team would be expected but the extended evaluation would provide the basis for a decision on bringing him into the fold in 2019.

Estilo:

Muriel, Juan Jo Narvaez, dorlan, aviles...........

He will probably be a Striker or a right winger, nothing more or nothing less, he isn't a defensive player, even if he has big balls and is excellent at pressing. I don't see what's the problem of calling him at this age.

That is a very Bolillesca attitude and the reason why James debuted at 20 and not 18, when he had been playing very well already. Let's just hope he doesn't get injured anymore.

He is better then Gio Moreno :)

I want to see him get a shot but the time for that was against China.

Only spots that I can see someone squeezing into the final list barring injury is a new GK, RB and Striker if someone is tearing up a league.

Only Falcao is a consistent goal scorer.

Injuries always happen leading up to a World Cup, so you need and want a wide pool to get a look in case someone goes down. For example, Cucho seems like a lot of similarities to Muriel, also he'd fit a perfect profile to play alongside Falcao, either way give him a look and if by some chance he flourishes and there is an injury or he beats someone out then give it a go. These types of stories happen all the time at world cups, the tournament is so important you see great players born when they are determined to get there.

Anybody who can watch this video and doesn't think this kid deserves a chance to at least get called into camp is crazy imo, especially considering he can play across every attacking position. The kid is a complete player at 18, I don't know what happened when he was in his teens prior but its all come together over the last year, he's powerful, can dribble, plays with amazing intensity, and is a team player going for the pass and playing people in rather then being a one trick pony and is a very good finisher. This kid is going to take us to the promise land eventually and the quicker we get him going with James the better. It's not a surprise he's linked with Barca, he's very similar to a young Suarez except he's a bit faster then he was.

Ousmane Dembele, was playing for the reserve team at Rennes 3 seasons ago and stepped up and thrived at every level when he was given a chance. Mbappe last year wasn't barely even playing for Monaco until the middle of the season last year and is now a star at PSG and was France's best player against us. We all know James story. These guys are all versatile young players that got better and better and thrived with each step up, when you see the talent even if its at a lower level you need to make exceptions and throw them in the fire. Many people didn't want Sanchez and Mina to start together but when given the chance they've never looked out of place the higher and higher they go. Especially with attacking talents in their teens their development can take massive leaps in a year, by next year or even the summer Cucho could really take off, those type of talents are not linear in their development, they are like a sponge.

    Please thuis guy is amazing....

Youtube already have more than 10 years..............and the reference of some fifa fans are still "scout videos" ..............watch MATCHES and maybe you stop to say "lies" like Cardona was used as central mdifielder before or "zapata has 24 and hisn numbers are ghreat for that age" .....

"versatile" he can play in fifa in a lot of postions

Cucho is great i have watched him since pereira in serie b........but "youtube videos " to make judgements of a player havent heard since 2007.....

Ps: James story is quite different he have been always in good positions according to his age......always ................yeah dembele, mbappe names perfect exmaples of fifa fans..

Also Cucho has been captain of his teams at young ages and has been praised for his leadership qualities, those are the type of players at 18 that can shoulder big jumps and handle the pressure with maturity.

    You're trippin'.

I see a couple of prospects but not sure if they'll be good enough to be on the team within a year, let alone be better than them.

I mean who in their right mind thought Jesion Murillo not injured wouldn’t make the WC. It can happen. I mean Falcao because of age but could you imagine if we could develop 4-6 MFs better then James by next WC?

We did make 2 CBS way better then Jeison and 2 that the coach just likes better haha

Maaaybe. And that's gonna be tough. Maybe in center midfielder position, but to be completely honest with you, I've only seen three guys that could reach a level similar to Cuadrado, not James. Still looking for him tho. Cucho is the u-20 top talent we have, then there are guys like Jhon Arteaga and Peñaloza that are wonderful, but that still haven't played a single game professionally.

Bolaños an Arango are still there, still playing. Bolaños has 9 goals and Arango has been rotating lately after the winter Transfer market. Still have high hopes for them but more long term, at least a couple more years.

Arteaga is an attacking midfielder, he Isn't tall but has a lot of ability and scores regularly. He is similar to Cucho in general characteristics, but since he hasn't played professionally I can't make a real evaluation of him. Many players look like Monsters In their category, but once they Face pro's Who know what they're doing things get too real.

Solano is playing regularly for Atlético B. The other two are no longer part of Atlético.

Don't know Who is the other kid you mentioned.

This guy reminds me of a young Figo. Not in looks, of course. But in the way that he moves and runs and his passes. Granted, I've only seen a few videos of him and never a full match. But by that's who he reminded me of.

Everybody were excited about Marlos, Borre and Roger. None of them have made it. It's hard to predict who's going to be a star. Hopefully this Hernandez guy keeps developing.

Then there are examples of young players that nobody expected nothing from but suprised everyone later in theri career.
