Same. He's still going to be 18 when he becomes eligible. If he's spending the majority of his time training with the first team like it seems like he is, I in no way see his situation as a bad thing.
yea as long as hes training up, hes going to U19 for a year and then up the ladder....excited to see him rip it up next year. The next big thing for us.....now we need NTait to handle biz as well and get a few callup cup matches next year
are there any actual worthy strikers that he can learn from at the club (while he's training with the first team)?
I just read a great article on the agent thing, worth a read. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...ristian-pulisic-rob-moore-agent-usmnt-america
he can play both and this season and last has been mainly the CF of the team. When Bremen only starts with one guy up top no AJ, no Beldofil, Kruse is the CF. Even when others are there he's still the CF.
What is the German media's perception of Josh Sargent? It's hard to take the English Bundesliga site seriously with how they pander to the North American market
the Bundesliga site is pretty much marketing, it likes to pander a lot, whether US or from somewhere else. as for German media, I haven't really noticed anything and it makes sense since he's not really playing anywhere. Although from what I've read Bremen and the coach Kohfeldt seem high on the kid. although I think Sargent going to Bremen is not a good thing for Young. His chances to make the 1st team were never that high but with Sargent and others whether in Bremen, Bremen II or the youth levels, his chances are even lower to ever make it. His contract expires in the Summer, better off changing clubs.
Young's 0 goals in 600 3.Liga minutes across 20 appearances hasn't helped either. A change of scenery is definitely good for him.

Source tells Metro New York Sports' @KristianRDyer that US wunderkid Josh Sargent is nearing a senior debut with #WerderBremen of the #Bundesliga: https://t.co/ITOYrsKI5P— Metro New York Sports (@Metro_NY_Sports) March 27, 2018
Misleading headline. He can't play official matches the remainder of this season. EDIT: @ArsenalMetro beat me to it.
Ya apologize for dripping that Tweet with no context. Doing multiple things. Important part is Bremen have no plans to loan him next season.
Great minds and all that. Not your fault. I blame the social media guy. Good that he's impressing. I have a new friend who grew up in Bremen so the idea of Werder having an all-American strike force is a lot more fun than it would have been for me before.
He can't be registered until next season, so Werder can only do that if they're willing to forfeit the match.
Imagine the elevation in his game in the last few months- he's gone from u17 camps and USSDA practices (each decent in their own right), to training every day with grown men playing in the Bundesliga. Have to think that the next time we see him in a competitive game, he will be even more polished.
