was openly rooting against the US and for Ghana in the match yesterday, as was his father. I bet he plays for the Black Stars...I'm not stressing over this because we do have young talent up front (Picault, Koroma, Jerome, Jack Mac, etc) but it seems disrespectful for him to be doing this to his home country and for a country he's represented internationally...His dad said that technical football always wins out and garbage like that.
If this is true. Its kind of messed up these guys would turn on a country that has treated them so well but support a country because it has a bunch of people that look like them. Esepecially since Gyau fathers has worked for the US in a coaching capacity.
Danny Mwanga>Joseph Gyau, if and when Mwanga switches to the US and if Gyau switches to Ghana, I think we made out better. When Gyau actually does something maybe I'll get worried, but if he think he's too good for the US and his heart isn't with this country, goodbye.
Who gives a f--k?! For all we know they were posting that to get people on Big Soccer wound up. There might have been a time where JFT was supporting Mexico over the USA. This thread is stupid.
He's profile is not private. It's there for the world to see. Same for his dad, but I didn't see where he was pulling for Ghana. Here are his comments Joenaldinho Gyau THEY SAID WE HAD NO DISCIPLINE, THEY SAID WE WERENT TACTICALLY SMART, THEY SAID WE WERENT GOOD, THEY SAID WE WOULD LOSE. THEY SAID AFRICAN FOOTBALL WAS GARBAGE.... where yall at now??? Joenaldinho Gyau BLACKKKKK STARRSSSSS...... GHANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Saturday at 5:03pm
If he want to play with Ghana, thats find and danddy. We want guys who want to play for the USA. Who will leave everything on the field for this country, easy as that.
I'm glad he is not playing with us... he sounds like an imature egotistical ass. Betcha he'll never make either team.
Who said that? This kid is getting weirder by the day. The things I heard was Ghana was a good team. Looks like this Joesph has a big case of victimization and a version of rap songitis calling people out when you succeed when no one was there doubting you in the first place. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/joseph.gyau?v=wall&ref=search
he's 18... did you have threads on a message board analyzing your every status update on facebook when you were that age? Mountain... mole hill.
That facebook page is very weird indeed. The kid obviously thinks very, very highly of himself I was at the Dallas Cup. He was embarassing in his behavior. He called out his teammates repeatedly on the field for never getting him the ball. He then went to the media after the game and called out his teammates again. He touched the ball more than anyone else on his team and he still went to the press and showed up his teammates He's in a strange situation where everyone tells him how great he is. I saw a situation in Dallas when his mother ran over 50 yards to catch up with one reporter after a game and yell at him after he previously wrote an article that referred to him as "Joseph Gyau" as opposed to "Joseph Claude Gyau" Gyau certainly brings with him some serious baggage and I am sure Rongen is aware of it. I don't think he's going to be part of the U20 team for those reasons alone. If he really wants to go play for Ghana, go ahead. Let them deal with him. His game is quite limited from what I've seen. Nice dribbling but he can't hit the broad side of a barn with a cross or a shot. His positional awarness isn't that great and he doesn't read the game that well.
