Pachuca won 3-1. Villafana went the distance. His man beat him to the near post to score the third goal. Highlights.

They were separated from 20,000 clams, so I wouldn't say they're entirely alright. Why was he obtaining 20k in straight cash? My guess it was for use in the States because he'd been called up or that's just where he'll spend the offseason. But why not withdraw from a bank there? Doesn't use multinational bank and can't get the money transferred for a small fee? I'm going to guess this is his last season in LigaMX. Risk is becoming not worth the reward. Plenty of MLS teams would love him as their left back and would use a good chunk of allocation money for him.
During an after game interview, Oswaldo Sanchez was full of praise for him. He was also asked, prefaced by letting him know of rumors of him moving to other teams, if he could talk about the interest from other teams, his answer was the typical, just want to enjoy this in and let things sort themselves out in the coming weeks.
What a crazy few days it has been for Jorge Villafaña. I caught up with him after @ClubSantosEn’s Liga MX win #ligamxeng pic.twitter.com/kEd3tXss2c— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) May 21, 2018
He had shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago: Jorge Villafaña underwent a successful minor operation on his left shoulder on Wednesday, after experiencing continued discomfort from an injury suffered toward the end of the 2018 Clausura. http://www.clubsantos.mx/noticias/detalle/3009
May be heading back to Portland... Jorge Villafaña and Lucas Melano’s numbers. Melano is well-reported to be on his way back. Villafaña would take some wrangling because PTFC would have to move up in the allocation order. But the tease... #RCTID https://t.co/4suV61wAlc— Chris Rifer (@ChrisRifer) August 8, 2018
He's at least heading back to MLS... https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...ntract-mls-will-go-through-allocation-process
