    Round 16 Results

Shabab Al Urdun 0-0 Al Wihdat Amman
Al Faisaly Amman 0-0 Al Ramtha
    Kufrsoum 3-3 Manshia Bani Hassan
Al Yarmouk Amman 2-2 Al Buqa'a Amman
Al Arabi Irbid P-P Al Jazeera Amman
Al Ahli Amman 0-3 W.O. Al Hussein Irbid

Not sure why one game was P-P and one awarded as a walkover. Both games were set to be played last Friday, so I guess other outside causes stopped the matches. I guess Al Ahli refused to play or not turn up and the other game both teams agreed .

Anyway, Wihdat sit 8 points clear still after Al Faisaly failed to apply any pressure at all at the top. After last years tight title race between the two, it's been a rather disappointing season which has been over since basically week 8!

Right Jordan football followers, time for an update on events in Jordan.

*Al Ahli appeared to withdraw from the championship. This happened around the times of the upraising's. There record was annulled.

*Al Wihdat stormed to the championship and qualified for enxt years AFC Cup.

*Kfarsoum defeated Al Hussein Irbid 3-1 in the end of season relegation playoff to relegate Al Hussein Irbid. Both teams ended the campaigns on 15 points.

*Al Wihdat will meet Manshia in the Cup final. If Wihdat win, Faisaly will therefore qualify for the AFC Cup. If Manshia win, they will enter for the 1st time.

Al Wihdat claim the Super Cup for the 11th time defeating Manshia Bani Hassan 3:0

It's the fourth victory in a row for Wihdat. They have also taken part in the Super Cup for the last 5 seasons. This was Manshia's first game in the opener to the league campaign.

The league is expected to start after Ramadan

It was just a joke statement.

I thought the league started after Ramadan because thats what the AFC reported on their website, great to see that their own confederation don't know whats happeneing!!

Anyway, can you give us any insight as to what happened last season. Al Ahli pulled out, are they in the 2nd division now or not playing at all?
