A couple nice goals with their U18s. https://www.facebook.com/LincolnCityYouthAcademy/videos/vb.405750142870742/306974850035769/
From the interview: In recent weeks, academy attacker Jordan Adebayo-Smith has become more and more involved in Danny Cowley’s Lincoln City first team. The 17-year-old has already featured on the bench for the Imps in their previous Carabao Cup and Checkatrade Trophy matches against Blackburn Rovers and Mansfield Town. Adebayo-Smith arrived at Sincil Bank this summer after a successful trial with the club. The talented youngster, who was born in California and is eligible to represent Nigeria, USA and England at international level, had previously had trials with Cambridge United and Premier League outfit Watford. https://www.redimps.co.uk/news/2018/september/180912-adebayosmith/
I'm seeing a match report that he has also played (and scored) for their U23s in this preseason, and he's still just 17. His progression so far seems to resemble fellow '01 English-American forward Charlie Kelman's. https://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/lincoln-city-v-derby-county-1845030

Last week, he made the bench in League Two for the first time. Lincoln City are the League Two leaders and possibly more of a League One-caliber side. 📝 TEAM NEWS: Matt Rhead©️@wharton_scott keeps his place, and @EllisChapman_12 makes his second league start of the season. 1️⃣ change to the starting line-up from last Saturday. #ImpsCamb pic.twitter.com/CuSXidBOLY— Lincoln City FC 🇺🇦 (@LincolnCity_FC) October 20, 2018 Yesterday the LCFC U18s won their FA Youth Cup match thanks to his goal. 🙌 Congratulations to the U18’s who beat @shrewsweb 0-1 in the FA Youth Cup, with the goal coming from Jordan Adebayo-Smith. #ImpsAsOne— Lincoln City Academy (@LCFCAcademy) October 25, 2018 Edit: some fan comments on his FA Youth Cup performance. https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/...sbury-town-v-lincoln-city-fa-youth-cup.86915/ Jordan Adebayo-Smith played as a lone striker and was a constant threat. A solid win for City. Shrewsbury had most of the play so City spent most of the match defending. Adebayo-Smith was on his own most of the time and Shrewsbury didn't really seem to know how to cope with him. Adebayo Smith seems quite the prospect doesn't he? How much longer before he gets first team minutes I wonder?
Jordan has scored five goals this week. Hat trick a few days ago, and a brace today. Was recognized today as one of the top 11 under-18 footballers of EFL clubs. The criteria from League Football Education apparently is a combination of footballing achievement and academic/service achievement. https://www.redimps.co.uk/news/2018/december/181219-the11/

I'm sure you guys and gals already knew this, but evidently his team is known as the "Gingerbreads" because Grantham Town is ... known for its gingerbread. A Lincolnshire businessman has brought a delicacy back to its traditional birthplace as a commercial venture. Alastair Hawken said the macaroon-like Grantham Gingerbread had not been made commercially in the town for more than 50 years. It is believed an 18th Century local baker discovered the recipe after a mistake while making biscuits. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-14207186 More history and a recipe: https://delishably.com/desserts/Grantham-Gingerbread Club announced his signing in February: http://www.granthamtownfc.com/teams/59867/news/three-in-for-gingerbreads-2395187.html He scored 3 goals over 3 league appearances in February, including two in one game, which is probably why he won the POTM. http://www.granthamtownfc.com/teams/59867/statistics?sort=goal&season=51752

We may look back at this moment in YA history as the only chance we ever had to use a subject line like this: Can't Catch Me, I'm the Gingerbread Man: Jordan Adebayo-Smith at Grantham Town Just sayin'.
