I just searched his Twitter username: https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=jgonzalez343&src=typd Nothing overly specific about his play, but it's clear he's playing well and is garnering the approval of Rayados fans.

Not in the squad for the U20s this morning, which bodes well for his chances of making the 18 for the first team later today.
Big day for US youth international Jonathan González. He's set to start and debut for @Rayados tonight vs. @FuerzaMonarca #ligamxeng— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) July 21, 2017

Yeah, he's playing pretty deep. Not sure if that's the position Jesus Molina normally plays. He's away with Mexico's Gold Cup squad currently.
He's comfortable playing the 8 or 6. Best position might be the 6, but he's pretty equally comfortable on the ball as he is breaking up the attack. He's definitely holding his own so far.
And with the U.S. U20's, Tab has mainly played him as a winger. Which just sounds like classic Tab if Gonzalez best position might be as a 6.
He's done well thus far, very comfortable on the ball under pressure (a rarity in our player pool.. Smh). Stoichov seems to like him.

Thought he performed very well for a debut at 18. Picked up a "professional yellow" for stopping a counter attack. Tidy with the ball and fit in well. The announcers were gushing about him. Got beat once by their Chilean #10, but outside of that he looked the part.
I think I vaguely remember what you are talking about. Something about a podcast and someone mentioning Nick Taitague and another special American talent in Mexico... am I thinking the right thing?
Our first quality young player out of LigaMX since Paul Arriola. Think he could play a role in the next U-20 cycle.
Sort of. Jonathan Sullivan referenced a sick talent in Mexico. Until the reveal there was detective work on who it could possibly be. Gonzalez was one of the guys. Eventually it was found out to be Taitague, who doesn't even play in Mexico, and the start to his career has frankly seemed lukewarm. While Gonzalez is starting to make waves along the Santa Carina River. So I now decry: Jonathan Gonzalez was indeed the sick talent in Mexico.
I agree, I think it was Gonzalez. Might've also been Edwin Lara who's playing for Mexican youth teams currently, but could switch back.
