does he have double citizenship? Why are folks so worried that he will be capped for Venezuela?

Looking at his stats.... 6'2" winger  and 25 years old.
We have so much depth in attacking. Love it!

    Let's go.

If there is one positive about this kid... ... it is that he is a winner. Winner of championships with the teams in Venezuela, winner with Santa Fe, and now with a successful winning team like Velez he just adds to his confidence.

He is another player that makes me wish we had more Non-FIFA friendlies. Would be cool to test him out at left wing.

The good news is that Copete scored a hat-trick for Santos last night. (Good for him!)

The bad news is Pekerman may be tempted to call him up again. :p

If he called Izquierdo, why not Copete? I think if he keeps it up why not... For sure James and Cuadrado are starters but then after that Cardona has been splitting time with Macnelly and right now Cardona has the edge.

But behind those guys, Muriel has been the only other consistent option... If Copete keeps it up he should get a chance as a winger...

Would like to see him make the jump to Europe this year, would be great if he could go somewhere to a place that has a Colombian, maybe him and Muriel at Sevilla!

Venezuela should've done us the favor and taken him off our hands. Not worthy of putting on the NT jersey, another Berrio here.

He wasn't that good in Nacional either. Barrio is just insanely fast that's about it. Both got shots at the NT and didn't impress.

Think Izquerido is ahead of them. Also prefer to see Fabian Castillo get called up again over Berrio or Copete. Copete/Castillo I feel we're both called to be cup tied to Colombia

Copete was the epitome feast or famine for Nacional.
He made some absolutely beautiful goals in the Libertadores. But he also tripped over his own feat and let balls go out of bounds that my grandma could have probably controlled.

I am not going to say anything bad about the Brazilian league just because he and Berrio are looking good there.
For the most part Brazilian teams know how to attack in that league, circulate the ball and give good service to their strikers.(Especially in the air.) Copete seems to be taking advantage of that good service and has built up his confidence.
