Well ... lets see how many of the young key FCN players are still there when the transfer window close ...
No, but last time he got injured the club told him it would be better not to push himself too hard to get back on the pitch, not to be taking any risks .... and that was back in April ... he then played 4 games in the Championship Round, with the last one being all 90 minutes against Horsens on the 11th of May, but then apparently got injured again .. so you could get the feeling that he did not quite follow the instructions, but has been doing so this time, not to suffer yet another injury if he was to return too soon..
Amon suffered the same kind of injury as FCN Captain Mathias Jensen ... and yesterday they wrote that Jensen, inspite of still being around two weeks away from being ready to play, is on the brink of being sold to Spanish side Celta Vigo for around $8 million, but Jensen suffered his groin Injury in the first match of this season, just around 3 weeks ago, while Amon has been out much longer than that, not playing in any of the pre-season games, so he really should be fit by now. At least to be on the bench and play some minutes ...
And their captain, aged 22 has been sold to Celta Vigo. This is the kind of progression that Nordsjalland does. I really think we can expect the same thing for Amon once he gets back from injury.
Yes, Mathias Jensen has now joined his former FCN team-mates Stanislav Lobotka and Emre Mor at Celta Vigo that also have fellow Danes Pione Sisto and Andrew Hjulsager in their team ... though Lobotka who Celta signed from FCN last year, now seem on his way to the English PL ...but Celta seem especially to be scouting for players in Denmark and FCN ....
Since the former Leipzig and Stuttgart coach came to Brøndby in 2016, we have seen a regular invasion of German players to the Superliga .. the next one most likely being the German U-21 international Philipp Ochs ...
Amon is finally back and in the squad for the away game Sunday against AaB Aalborg : http://fcn.dk/2018/08/truppen-mod-aab-5/
Finally back on the bench: 🔢 | Start-11 mod @aabsportdk Larsen - Bartolec, Nelsson, Mumin, Mini - Christensen, Strunck, Damsgaard - Olsen, Kudus, Rasmussen#AaBFCN #sldk #fcndk pic.twitter.com/vmKZhOM8K7— FC Nordsjælland 🐯 (@FCNordsjaelland) August 12, 2018
He's back! 79' Jonathan Amon skal på banen til sin sæsondebut. Ud går Mathias Rasmussen #AaBFCN 0-0— FC Nordsjælland 🐯 (@FCNordsjaelland) August 12, 2018
AaB Aalborg v FC Nordsjælland 1-0 (0-0) 1-0 Philipp Ochs (90) Red card: Philip Ochs, AaB (90+4) AaB (4-5-1): Jacob Rinne, Kristoffer Pallesen, Jores Okore, Jakob Blåbjerg, Jakob Ahlmann, Kasper Kusk (54: Philipp Ochs), Oliver Abildgaard, Filip Lesniak (63: Magnus Christensen), Kasper Risgård, Wessam Abou Ali (79: Rasmus Thellufsen), Jannik Pohl. FC Nordsjælland (4-3-3): Nicolai Larsen, Karlo Bartolec, Victor Nelsson, Abdul Mumin, Mads Pedersen, Jacob Steen Christensen, Nicklas Strunck, Mikkel Damsgaard (84: Andreas Skovgaard), Andreas Skov Olsen, Mohammed Kudus, Mathias Rasmussen (80: Jonathan Amon). Amon got to play the last 10 minutes, but by then the young FCN team seemed quite tired, I suspect because they are playing both Europa League and Superliga = 2 important games a week, which seemed quite noticable in the 2nd half, so by the time Amon came on, there was not really much he would have been able to do, also considering that he is a bit rusty. But FCN were totally dominating the first 45 minutes where the much older AaB players hardly managed to get hold of the ball. In fact the FCN starting 11 was the youngest team FCN have ever fielded from start in the Superliga, with an average age of 20 years and 144 days but they still totally owned the pitch in the first 45 minutes, though as written earlier in this thread about the German "invasion", it was the likevise young German U-21 NT player Philipp Ochs, who AaB have just signed on loan from German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, who stole the headlines in his Superliga debut, not only scoring the match winning goal in the 90th minute, but also by getting his second yellow and a red card to be send off in in 4 minutes injury-time ... as you can all see in the official highlights below :
Amon is on the bench today for Nordsjaelland in their Europa League Qualifying 2nd leg match. 33' and Nord'land down 2-1, Amon still on the bench. Frankly Partizan look the much better team... and score again! 3-1, now they need three.
Everything is coming down Amon's side. They're feeding him the ball on every possession. About 10 minutes left.
