in the XI for the crucial leg 1 of the relegation/promotion playoff. Unsere Wölfe für heute Abend! 💚 #WOBKSV pic.twitter.com/oX1pa1c71p— VfL Wolfsburg (@VfL_Wolfsburg) May 17, 2018 Wolfsburg are starting off at home.
Holstein missed two sitters. JAB rusty, IMO the defense's weak spot, failing in a couple of important tackles and left behind several times. That Kinsombi kid, in Holstein, is going to be good. He started as a CB, then converted to DM, and now is a CM with a lot of creative powers. Some BuLi team should pick him up, if Kiel doesn't get promoted.

He grabbed a dude by his ankle and yanked him to the ground like he slipped on a banana which was pretty funny. He was good though
JAB compensated for his mistakes in the previous game. He's the sort of guy you want against teams that try to do too much through the air.
Here is our starting 1️⃣1️⃣ for the first pre-season friendly vs. Veltins-Selection.Kick-off is at 14:00 CEST. #vflwolfsburg pic.twitter.com/IwZot1Nd3g— VfL Wolfsburg EN/US 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 (@VfLWolfsburg_EN) July 7, 2018 Looks like Brooks started their preseason match today, subbed out at halftime. They conceded a goal in the 4th minute, their opponent's only goal of the match.

Man, season hasn't even started and already they're listed in last place. They need Wuppertal to get into the Bund.
At least he's collecting that $$$ salary I wonder what he thinks of his upcoming competition (Miazga, Palmer-Brown)
He will be 29 (a month from 30) by the time Qatar rolls around, and he's fighting injuries already. Will he even still be interested, or willing to risk the $$$$ for nats play? By 30 a lot of players, smartly I believe, realize their body needs a month of rest more than additional games. He might be quite willing to watch EPB and Miazga. I suppose missing out on Russia might skew that reaction, but WCup's really are a young players thing.
I'm not too sure after JK's departure some of our guys over there are picking up the phone anyway. Considering his injury history, it may not be unwise to retire the international game. A defender with chronic knee/Achilles problems is not one you want playing many games.
Brooks has played in 4 games since Klinsmann got fired, including the November friendly against Portugal. Questioning the commitment of a guy who lost all control of his emotions after scoring at the World Cup and who has the state of Illinois tattooed on his body just because he's a German-American is right there on the border of xenophobic.
