He dreams of the EPL: http://www.espnfc.com/vfl-wolfsburg...r-john-brooks-premier-league-move-is-my-dream Brooks told Sport Bild: "Quite a few people were surprised that I made the switch within the Bundesliga and did not move to England. "I have always said that Premier League is my dream, but it never meant that it must be the next step."

Brooks scored the winning goal in a 0-3 win for Wolfsburg today over Tim Ream and Fulham at Craven Cottage. As far as I can tell, Brooks played the full 90 minutes.
I hear the new Wolfsburg Edition comes standard with tattoos so no need to have them added in the shop during the season.
This is why he's called #WallOfBrooks🇺🇸 🙌 #FFCWOB pic.twitter.com/Dlb5fV9BKU— VfL Wolfsburg US 🇬🇧🇺🇸 #GetENwithUS (@VfLWolfsburg_US) July 30, 2017

As @j_brooks25 only had a short summer break due to USMNT🇺🇸 commitments, he has been given this week off to enjoy some extra rest 💚 pic.twitter.com/jT07wM4nUL— VfL Wolfsburg US 🇬🇧🇺🇸 #GetENwithUS (@VfLWolfsburg_US) August 1, 2017 Weird timing, but he's granted a week of rest this week.
Getting a few days off to rest. http://www.espnfc.com/vfl-wolfsburg...-jonker?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
He is their most expensive player right? Being the guy probably has its perks. He may have had preseason rest and regular matches off for injury prevention written into his player contract.
I feel like Brooks is slept on a bit by UMSNT fans. He's only entering the start of what hopefully will be a decade long prime as a defender. He's the CB we have that can be both a physical, sound defensive presence and offer something going forward with his outlet passing and danger on set pieces and headers. Obviously the key for him will be health from this point forward.
Slept on? Not really; just undermined, resented and bashed by people who would prefer their guys in the position over him.
They could instead wait until midseason to give him a vacation, as Liverpool did with Raheem Sterling a couple years ago. Now THAT was weird timing.
