Is Fox really so lazy with their coverage of this match that they don't even have studio coverage? The halftime show is just a highlight clip of random Bundesliga goals and celebrations. Not even from this season - there was just one of Serge Gnabry when he was at Hoffenheim.

It’s weird. Normally, they will have a studio show, at least a shortened one, for Friday matches. Most of the Fox crew do the Champions Legaue coverage for TNT so I wonder if that played into their Absence today. I knew Stu Holden was in Europe this week covering matches.

Wolfsburg winning 1-0 and trying for #2. Looks like they realized at the half that Nürnberg is trash and has been losing game after game by many goals.

Egg Beerholder in the stands watching Brooks, I guess you could say Brooks is on trial in Nurnberg...

JAB is lucky. Nürnberg sucks and whenever they try to get through, they go the aerial route. Brooks is good against aerial threats, specially from a half-baked team like "the Legend."

I haven't looked at the bottom of the Bundesliga table in a while, and damn those are four awful teams down there. Relegate them all.

As I said, Schalke is lucky. Any other season they'd be a bottom two. This season, they have effectively four 2.BuLi mid-table awful clubs to buffer their fall.

They have done this on weekend matches as well.

one of the worst, least charismatic sides I've seen in a while. Fortuna, Nurnberg, Hannover, S04...all pretty terrible. I know what you're thinking, but it's not all the Yank's fault!

central defense has been falling apart in the 2nd half. As they concede 2 badly defended goals as Augsburg tie the game 2-2.

Wolfsburg win 2-3 and finish the first half of the season in 5th place. Brooks started, played 90 minutes, and earned an assist. Brooks has played 16 out of 17 league matches and both DFB Pokal matches, earning 1 goal and 2 assists. His only absence was due to yellow card suspension.

After his nightmare of a 2017-18 campaign which forced him to become a spectator in the climactic US World Cup qualifiers, Brooks is healthy and successful again.

for today's game, lots of sites have Brooks as pretty much the worse Wolfsburg player today.

Brooks earns his starts for the build-up and how he helps the attack, not for what he does defensively.

Brooks had a big cross field switch which starts a move that leads to a Wolfsburg chance.

    Brooks vs Schalke
    1 shot (off target)
    60 touches
    90 % passing (44/49)
    2 headers
    1 tackle
    2 interceptions

Wolfsburg had more possession, especially in the first half. Brooks is very instrumental in that. Schalke shifted formations at half time and Wolfsburg had problems adjusting in the 2nd half
