Did not score but had a nice pass that led to the Final goal to clinch the game.

For those wondering, Cordoba's Mainz takes on Wolfsburg today at 12:30 EDT.

The match will be on your local FOX (Simpsons FOX) affiliate in the USA.

Very nice shot on goal but an even better save by the Keeper.

Very good hold up play with his back to goal.
So much so he caused the Brazilian Dante to get two yellows and get ejected.

Not too many shots on goal though, but his team was organized defensively and they got the point on the road.

Best player on their team according to the new Fifa update :)

Kid reminds me of Jackson Martinez just needs better finishing. A big target guy like Duvan

Bad news for his team though is that they gave up a 2-0 lead and are now losing.

That could cost them a Champions League spot in the long run.

It was kind of the perfect fit really.
The Bundesliga seems to correlate with his skills & strengths as a player and he is excelling. And there really was not much expectations from his loan so he is exceeding expectations.

Except now he is a major part of a team making a run for a Champions League spot with pressure. And is slowly becoming a starter they depend on due to his target striker hold up play and presence in the area .

He is only 22... he can only get better. At least he is not regressing like Quintero. Not all our guys can be James.

Mi punto es que en España o en Alemania el tipo ha sido igual de bueno , no me molestaría que volviera

Jhon siempre lo he defendido...hacia todo bien menos definir en selección , eso se mejora

Scored a nice header for the second goal. And had a nice breakaway assist for the third.
    Involved in all three goals.

Visiting family here in Germany for the weekend and Cordoba has definitely earned a name for himself here. The German commentators speaking of him a lot and my fam tell me he has the reputation of a guy rising quickly. Good for him.

I love how on the third goal the defender tries to pull him down and he swats him away like a fly.
Most other forwards would flop or fall down. This guy is a beast and keeps going.

he's always been a pretty good forward but his finishing was always atrocious which is why I never really took him seriously. His hold up play is very good, he's a big man but knows how to use his body.

Lo que mas me gusta de el es que juega muy bien de espaldas al arco y en una liga que tiene buenos centrales... No es egoísta con el balón y saber ha quien se la tiene que entregar... Pues en el primo gol lo demostró...

I think Marlos Moreno is the best foward in this age group and hopefully goes to the Olympics, then comes Borre and I dare say Roger Martínez may be a more polished player or at least more in form as of late... But then the #4 guy, I put Jhon Córdoba ahead or Preciado... I'm not saying Cordoba should start anf I know Preciado has been doing well for the last year and Cordoba had been doing well for the last six months but to me that's splitting hair... They both are the same playing styles, target fowards, and Córdoba is doing it against tougher opponents... I think we can agree Preciado isn't yhe best in thia age group and that Piscis puts him in to start to have a target foward... I think Martínez can also hold up well and if I could only pick two guys I'd start Marlos and Martínez. The goals would come from Borre... But I'd like to see Roger Martínez and Marlos Moreno start....

I think there is enough room for Borre, Martínez, Marlos Moreno, Preciado and Córdoba..... I would put Cordoba ahead of Preciado in the pecking order due to his experience playing overseas and if there is a need a target forward he should get called because if its just on ability i would probably even out Andrés Renteria ahead of Preciado and Cordoba... I personally would like to see a 4 2 1 3 with Quintero feeding passes to M. Moreno, Martínez, Borre...
If I could pick, I'd love to see Cordoba start, winning long balls, and holding up plays with Martínez and Marlos Moreno on his flanks.... That would be nice to see and Renteria and Borre I feel can jump in and play those left and right foward roles... And Preciado can vome in anf play the CF role... I just hope all these kids keep playing well.

I doubt it will happen, but I'd definitely give him a spot over Preciado. Better player and a more useful skill set
