    Pauline Bremer, Nina Ehegötz and Laura Freigang win this year's Fritz-Walter medal for best youth players. Im sure Bremer will make a NT career - not so sure about the others two.

    Why would they invite some random guy from Illinois when they can have the local original?

    Lolz Illinois is ********ing Latvia of Europe. As exotic as Taco Bell. That can hardly beat a local in a Lederhosn.

    After we came back by train we celebrated the 1:0 victory of 1860 II in Ingolstadt II where we secured us the playoff spot. Coincidently the same Saturday. ;-)

    Oh wow, they nominated Sara Doorsoun. That's a surprise.

    No surprise of course seeing Krahn and Bartusiak. Even when they were injured not too long ago they still get nominated instead of e.g. Marith Prießen.

    Germany are destroying Hungary right now, already 11-0.
    During the last qualifying Hungary never lost by more than four goals in a group with France

    here's highlights of Germany's romp of Hungary, 12-0

    review;
    here are the pro's & cons; on the good side, Popp finally gets the much cherished central fwd position vacated by Sasic, but the biggest change is Bremer at right side winger. She brings a lot of speed into the game. Why Neid didn't use her there instead of Laudehr in the 3 last WC games is hard to fathom.
    and the negative side, Neid still plays what to me is the one dimensional style of a deliberate, ball control /short passing type which allows the opponent to set up defenses in time. It seemed like Neid was experimenting with a faster paced/up tempo offence in the group stage games but went back to her old style during the elimination rounds.

    Bremer is quick but not very tricky when it comes to 1 vs 1 and you face those situatins as a winger a lot. She also misses the needed explosiveness aka acceleraration. Bremer is more a striker than a winger.

    just found a replay of the Germany vs Croatia fame on youtube

    rather poor game considering that Croatia is the #6o team in the world, As mentioned previously, I think Neid makes her team play a tight, short passing game, which takes away from her players to use their superior individual skills.
    Just looking at Bremer(with Lyon)running rings around the PSG defenders the other day, where as's prohibited of any kind of individual creativity under Neid, shows the difference between night & day
