I mentioned it back then. There was no need for Lajud and Jesse is a much better GK currently and going forward.

It definitely sucks to lose Jesse but it is what it is. His agent already confirmed he has a signed letter of intent from Jesse to switch to the US so this thread will be closed.

 

Looks like we got a bit ahead of ourselves and by we, I mean Stuart Holden.

Jesse finally speaks out on the matter, says he has not made a decision to switch yet.

 

Jesse's agent had stated that they had drafted a letter of intent that would be submitted to the USSF. That was the only official statement we had on the matter. Until now that Jesse came out with the "I don't know whatcha talking about" business.

 

No one in Mexico (within the media) is paying attention to this story other than the token update.

¿Tan difícil era llamarlo a un maldito partido amistoso de los dos que tuvimos ante Croacia e Irlanda(o Copa Oro) como TERCER PORTERO, decirle "vas bien, te tenemos en seguimiento, sigue así"?

If Gonzalez doesn't go with the US this Gold Cup, Osorio should call him up to one of the qualifiers after Mexico qualifies (I think they're a victory away from mathematical qualification).

 

No, la seleccion no esta para llamar a jugadores que apenas estan empezando a jugar futbol en primera division (en la MLS), el que sea un joven que muestre potencial no quiere decir que va a llegar a ser un crack, lo que a mexico le sobra son porteros, esta es una decision muy dificil para cualquiera puede ser que EEUU lo llame y ni siqueira juege un minuto y jamas vuelva a ser llamado, lo mismo puede suceder con Mexico, lo que este muchacho deberia hacer es primero mantener un buen nivel por un par de temporadas para llamar la atencion de el equipo Nacional de MX y de JCO, tomar una decision asi tan desesperado como lo hizo Yarbrough es lo peor que puede hacer.

No mames eso de que le sobran porteros es una patraña. Los 3 de siempre (Ochoa, corona, Talavera) ya no son igual de buenos que antes, el mejorcito es Ochoa y tampoco es la gran cosa ehh.. aparte de ellos solo cota tiene un nivel aceptable pero apenas empezó a llamar la atención a los casi 30... yo por eso pienso que a Jesse no lo deberían dejar escapar el chavo es bueno y muy joven para ser portero, lo cual dice que le queda muchísimo por mejorar

 

When you constantly call up people like Moisés Muñoz, a past his prime Corona and someone as inconsistent as Talavera, you're not exactly overflowing with quality. Ochoa is a good starter, but Mexico clearly lacks depth and quality down the road.

 

Ademas no se ustedes, pero luego de que Talavera diera vergüenza en las olimpiadas yo no confió mucho en el. Ademas que Gonzalez se vio mal en la liguilla con MTY y ahora comera banca porque trajeron a Carrizo.

Gonzalez y Romero, no hay mas... ese es el futuro de la seleccion, y si quieren considerar a Gudiño que tiene años estancado.

Si, pero si lo llamas a un amistoso prácticamente estas motivando al joven y le estas diciendo que esta bajo el radar, que esta en consideración, así podría declinar irse por los Estados Unidos y seguir trabajando para estar en próximas convocatorias.
