Are we sure this is the home jersey? I'm still hoping for dark green for the home ones with this just as the away jersey.
That's been my thought...it's been my hope too. Seems the shorts are green so gold-green-gold I imagine. Maybe green socks. Can't honestly see the home shirt being solid green. A green badge on a green shirt would look ridiculous. I'm holding out for hoops. A pointless hope I'm sure, but, I'll hope for it anyway. If the yellow is not the home strip then it rules out a white shirt I'd have to think.
I went to the STH party yesterday and one of the players was wearing the yellow jersey. After seeing it up close, I think that most of you will think it looks better than your first impression of it. The picture on the magazine cover makes it look a bit more golden or mustard colored than it really is. It's straight up yellow. I do agree, however, that it would benefit from green trim instead of white.
Does anyone who went yesterday, or just anyone, know when they are going to officially announce the kits? Also, what kind of merchandise were they selling and did they happen to announce when and where it would go on sale to the general public?
The only ACSTL merch I saw there was T-shirts that said has the stylized "AC*St. Louis" across the front. The shirts were yellow, grey, or white, and you could get the yellow with "Ralston 14" on the back.
This is definitely not what I expected. Wake Forest had these same templates this past season! But this is only the jersey and maybe the whole kit itself looks good together. Also, in this situation, maybe less is more. Think about Brasil's kit! And with Filho and Anelka's French backgrounds, hopefully we will have some quality sponsors on the kit as well.

St. Louis' largest locally owned brewery, which is Schlafly (mmm... Schlafly), would be nifty, but hell would have to freeze over first!

I imagine it will take awhile for them to get all that stuff sorted out. Maybe not even until a few weeks into the season. It's not like they're going to have a bunch of cash laying around, they may need some income before they can get the jerseys and other merchandise ready.
I would be utterly shocked if they didn't have a merch booth with jerseys ready to go at the Friendly against KC. That's just utter marketing stupidity. They've had since last year to get this ready. There will be people at that game that won't ever be back...let's be honest.
They'll have something I'm sure, but it doesn't seem like they have all the money in the world to put there. I'm sure it'll be more like t-shirts and what not. Maybe jerseys who knows. I just think people need to take a step back and take this franchise for what it is: a fledging start up that is very much in the pre-development phase and trying to get a solid base.
That is very true, they are just beginning, but I've never seen a team that didn't have jerseys on day 1. Otters, Grizzlies, etc. The only team I can think of is the Bandits...but now I don't remember if they did or didn't have jerseys available...but they were a transplant team anyway. Nike makes the jerseys for them anyway...they should be there.
Also from Ken Godat of AC St. Louis the jerseys are due to arrive from NIKE to the printer on Monday and we HOPE to get them by Friday
There is a link on Facebook that shows pictures of the new away kits against KC Wizards. The tops are white with a collar and the shorts are black. Pretty classy might I add, and I kind of like them more than the home kits personally.
Yeah I know it's not all that exciting, but hopefully it'll get better, by which I'm praying that there will be an alternative green kit. Also, the pictures of the away kits didn't have names nor numbers on them, and I also didn't see a sponsor on them either. I really hope this means that they are still looking for a sponsor, and that when they find one, they'll have a press release for it......hopefully.
