what's the deal with this guy? he doesn't seem injured yet he barely/rarely makes squads, if FD get promoted will he even make the jump or will they release him? Contract expires in Summer too, his chances don't seem good at all.

with Dusseldorf having a very good chance of promotion and Kiesewetter's contract expiring in the Summer, not a good sign at all for him.

and all of this happens and the guy turns 25 in 2 day. Terrible birthday....

 

Started today for Dusseldorf II in a friendly against Oberliga side SC Dusseldorf

Currently 2 - 0 Dusseldorf II / 68th minute

I know this is kinda harsh, but this is how I am starting to feel about some of these guys who never play.

Jerome went 90 for Dusseldorf II in Regionalliga in a 0 - 1 win over SC Verl

Following reports that Jerome had been demoted to the II squad I expect we will see more of him but in the lower league.

 

him and Kinjo started the FDII game and him and Kinjo both got subbed out at the 46th minute in a 5-1 trashing loss.

 

Jerome seems to have been brought back up to the first team, with indications (if I'm reading things correctly) that he's cover at a few positions where they have issues.

The coach/trainer suggests that he will remain with the 1st team for the rest of the term, which seems a good indication.

 

FD have been officially promoted to 1BL.

although Kiesewetter hasn't played since Dec and has only made the bench once in 2018. And didn't even play with the reserves today either.

 

Which means he'll be released. Across the entire season he's racked up all of 177 minutes in three BL2 appearances. With those numbers, you retain a 20-22 year-old prospect who's struggling to reach his potential, not a 25 year-old bench warmer.

 

he does seem likely to be released, Kinjo doesn't seem far off either. At this rate in terms of direct promotion from 2BL, it seems to be headed for Kronholm or nothing.

wonder if Jerome would get another 2BL gig or would he be forced to go to 3rd Liga?

 

Jerome started and went 86' as Dusseldorf U23 were held to a 1- 1 draw at home by RW Essen in Regionalliga West

Justin Kinjo went 90' in the match

 

looks like German reports have 6 players leaving Dusseldorf in the Summer. 2 guys on loan from 1BL teams, 2 guys who are 30 years old and then the last 2 are Kiesewetter and Kinjo.
