Do we really need a bunch of Fabian Johnsons?

Please. Donovan showed more creativity in his loan stint with Everton than Jones has since I've started watching him. I'm talking about his on-field performance, not his uncanny ability to hold down a roster spot. At any rate, I don't give two shits WHERE he plays; all I care about is HOW he plays.

And he sure as hell showed more creativity than Howard. I say, stick Donovan in goal, let Jones Coach, and Howard should be banned from the stadium!

Especially for defensive-minded players like Jones. Goal-scoring and offensive innovating can come naturally, even for MLS players like Donovan and Agudelo. Defense is another matter; the mental aspect of the defensive game can only be elevated by facing the top-level offensive units that are only found in Europe.

A bunch of Jones and Chandler types sounds pretty damn good though.

Thomas Dooley was pretty good. Berhalter. Stewart. Even Regis played pretty well.

If a player raised in another country wants to represent us, then I'm all for it. Now, they don't always work out (Castillo, etc), but neither do the all-American Americans.

Everytime Jones gets near someone I am afraid he is going to end up with a red card.

He has ~4 in his career (some were second yellow). C. Ronaldo has 5.

If Mexico wins tonight, will they freak out at another light-skinned Black guy named Jones wearing #13 on Saturday?

Jones' wallet is the one that says "Bad Arse Mother Fu**er". And he did a great American celebration on his (or not his) goal the other day, a nice salute, perhaps giving his dad some love.

I am deciding between a Jones or Adu jersey. Both have played amazingly during this Gold Cup

"Both have played amazingly during this Gold Cup"
    Really?!?!?
Adu has played 30 freaking minutes out of 450 total minutes yet he has "played amazingly"?
You've gotta be freaking kidding me.

    Now Jermaine Jones?
Yes, he HAS played very well.

If that 30 minutes wasn't helping to win the semifinal, and he had played 420 bad minutes, you might have had a point.
