That team needs a goals scorer. They play well and held back top teams but can’t put teams like thus away

No man im not anti sanchez, in good level he is a beast......but if he isnt playing almost nothing and is it in bad level (agaisnt paraguay and peru he gave the ball to the attackers in front of the area) he cant be consider as immovable.........for me is repleaceable, we did it before and it wasnt a tragedy

The thing people should take into account is how Many of these passes were in the defensive or in the offensive phase, in other terms, were they forward, lateral or back? In my opinion Sánchez and Barrios are too defensive, not that they are bad or anything, I really like both, but Lerma gives a lot more flair to a midfield with his passing and his toughness. IMO he has the best of both, great in the air and tireless (Sanchez) and great defensive positioning and marking (Barrios).

I just want a DM who can pass the ball to James or Cuadrado at least 50% of the time. That too much to ask for!!!

Isn’t he really good at free kicks as well?

Him not debuting doesn’t mean anything. Davison was utter shit 1st two games in yellow.

I remember being super pissed when Bolillo didn’t call up James for Copa America. People said the same Bs... he never played in yellow or too young BS!!!

You guys treat calling up new players like someone is asking you to try a rectal exam

Much deserved. I don't see Pekerman taking all 3 of Lerma, Barrios, and Sanchez to the WC. That'll be a good competition.

Let Barrios (who's apparently back from injury already) start against Korea; put Lerma in vs China.

Hopefully he doesn't get injured... fok. He's been very unfortunate, usually when he is playing better he gets injured. If he plays the next friendlies I'm sure that Pekerman will be pleased with him. He can give a lot to the national team.

I hope that I haven't jinxed him with this comment.

2011 Copa America? The main reason James was not on the NT roster until after the tournament I think had more to do with Colombia hosting the U20 World Cup the same summer and Colombia wanting that tournament to be a better platform for James to showcase his talents.

Hope to see more of Lerma over the next few friendlies. We need depth in the CM/DM role over 7 potential games in Russia

He could have played both!! If he was tired then we could have used him as a 2nd half sub or in the 2nd Round.

You guys give Pekerman way too much credit. Reason Colombia is where it is now is James Rodriguez. You guys love to say Falcao is the best ever or should be captain but he had what 5 years before James came along and wasn’t all that special in yellow. 1st game that kid came and we beat Bolivia in la Paz for the 1st time since I was born.

Fine I didn’t live the struggle that was Bolillo the 1st Time or Maturana because I was super young. But I had to live through the BS of giovani Hernandez then Tessor Moreno then Macnelly then Gio Moreno !!! That shit was brutal

Do you think that a coach only put players in the field and that is it??? ....

    1. Yeah if pinto lara prefere rodalleha, perea over him....they used him as winger. Use in a proper way is all credit to pekerman.

    2. With leonel the team was pathetic using james....only were 3 matches.............after 3 matches, pekerman won in lima, lost in quito and made 4 goals yo uruguay.

Since 2004 colombia didnt score 4 goals in official matches.

That is the most random argument ever. Who cares whether Falcao or James is the most influential in our success. We're blessed to have both AND Jose Nestor....

AND THIS IS LERMAS THREAD. GET BACK ON THEME.

Resultado final 1-2.
