Dude was a good coach. Its a bit of a shame his career could end prematurely. He brought it on himself though.
No one bothered researching out his new club, huh? Al Wahda finished fourth in the UAE Po-League just missing the AFC champions league spot by 2 points. I'm sure the Emirates club hired Aguirre to bumped them up for a a top 3 finish. Aguirre signed for a "one-year extendable contract" for an undisclosed amount. he is the second option after the club couldn't get Oman NT manager Paul Le Guen to sign. Aguirre replaces the Saudi, Sami Al Jaber, whom the club declined to sign full-time after the Saudi took over the managerial duties after the club fired Jose Peseiro's last January due to poor results. Can anyone find out the amount he's getting paid?
It's still ongoing investigation from what I can tell. But Aguirre said in an interview with ESPN last week that he feels calm and understands that these things take a long time and he just wants to keep working.
