Re: Japanese NT @ WCQ 2010 [R] - part II Any analysis on Spain ... I think we share a lot in common with their style. Possession, passing, short average height, technique over physique, speed, more midfielders than anybody knows what to do with. Now if we can just find a Torres and Villa, but do they follow this same idea?
Re: Japanese NT @ WCQ 2010 [R] - part II yeah not only do spain have more good midfielders than they need, but more good strikers as well who have some ability to create play as well except from a lot more dangerous position. The way the build up play happens for Japan makes it harder for strikers than necessary. Tamada's shot in the 70th minute. very good right, and an excellent save frankly. But if the strikers had played closer to midfield and he'd broken the line of defense and got through, the keeper would've charged and with no adjustment to Tamada's shot, from the same place, he would've scored. It is such a minor adjustment needed to the attack.
Re: Japanese NT @ WCQ 2010 [R] - part II i'm gonna watch them play next year no matter how much it cost, so they better puckerup!
Re: Japanese NT @ WCQ 2010 [R] - part II Perfect example of that can be found in Australia's first goal V Qatar. Opposition teams make Australia look 10 times better than they actually are. It's so frustrating. Team like Qatar and Uzbekistan just sit off the Australians so much and defend so deep that it is so easy for Australia to keep possession. I don't think Japan will be intimidated though. They have enough experience, and confidence in their ability not too. That's why Japan V Australia games will always be close.
