I'm not going to jump up and down given that they let Yemen score twice, but good job by Hirayama. If Yamada didn't get injured, Japan might have lost...

    To be fair,

They both have the same initials kinda....

    Sota Hirayama

    Hisato Sato

    I guess to them Sota=Sato

Yeah, I suppose youre right. The names are so similar. I mean, people are always confusing Gareth Barry with Barry Ferguson, and every time I write about Wayne Rooney I make a mistake and call him Mickey Rooney. Its such an easy mistake to make . . . .

You mean they aren't same player?? ;)

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The person who wrote the article probably hasn't even heard of any of the players who played.

Oh dear. Soccerway's statistics seem to have gone haywire. I've been trying to ask them why they keep crediting Hisato Sato's goals to (goalkeeper) Akihiro Sato, but they never replied. They have him as having scored two goals against Kyoto, for example.

Well, it's six of one and a half dozen of the other. That is an egregiously bad tackle, a real knee buster. The perpetrator should be dealt with severely. A fine and a ban is in order. However, the comment by kaba about it is almost as bad. I'd forgive the guy for getting carried away with the racist remark in the heat of the moment, but that's it.

Well he sure took one for the team.
Got Japan in the Asian cup, and Hirayama possibly in the World Cup.

Japanese squad for match against Bahrain

    http://www.jsgoal.jp/news/jsgoal/00097057.html.

At first I thought that Okada had finally gotten rid of Okubo, but then I remembered that he was injured...

Why is Abe back? Is it because Kengo got injured? Why is Kagawa gone? The only two offensive midfielders left are Matsui and Honda.

Tamada is still there hopefully Okada will play Okazaki and Morimoto up top. But I doubt it...

Abe as a replacement for Kengo? Talk about a drop in quality...
Who needs attacking midfielders when you have Naka, Koroki, Hirayama, and Tamada? :(

    森本貴幸 :D
平山相太 興梠慎三 阿部勇樹 中村俊輔 今野泰幸
