What are you talking about ?? Wolfsburg has a bad season of course but no team has so much money like wolfsburg, the can compete to bayern for example and magath is a excellent coach,so afte my opinion this would be the best thing that can happen for honda.Wolfsburg has the money and strength to be one of the best teams in germany for a second time !!! Go there Keisuke

So you are comparing Wolfsburg (I have nothing against them) to the biggest clubs in Europe?

From money and possibility + Magath ? Yes i do,the have the strength for example to win german championship next year again compete in the champions league like 2009.
Of course, they are not as big like Barcelona,Real Madrid or Manchester United but when the want they can be like those teams because they have the money. The only thing is that the don`t have a good management, they have a coach for 1-2 years and then another coach, every season they buy sooo much players. In Wolfsburg everythin is chaos but under Magath you see it will work and when the can fix this problems then Wolfsburg can become one of the biggest clubs in the world and for this work a Keisuke Honda is the best choice. He is a fighter,a asshole and next season i think they spend much much money to buy very good players,so Honda would profit from a this + the german bundesliga is at the moment one of the best leagues for japanese players...i think this is a big bonus because the half JNT plays there and after matches the can do things together and thats not unimportant for the feeling in a country.

Felix Magath would improve Honda to the next level !!!

Exactly, I think that main point that everyone here is missing is that we are talking about Magath.

Never mind Wolfsburg's season, Magath is the only reason (perhaps besides Hasebe) that Honda is being linked to Wolfsburg.

Magath has experience with Japanese players and I believe that he knows what he's doing. Did a good job with Hasebe and Uchida, helping integrate them into their respective sides.

I don't necessarily agree with the move, but if it happens then I trust that Magath can get the best out of Honda. I think that if Diego leaves during the summer then the rumor will only intensify.

I have a gut feeling that Magath will try to sign a Japanese player this summer.

My guess- Inui maybe even Morimoto

Magath has the hard-working, inflexible mentality. Honda is, contrary to the majority of the jpn players, is a kind of rebel with a huge ego. I'm not really sure it would work perfectly.

Apparently the offer is around €10 Million. Well, I guess this is the only concrete offer that Honda and CSKA received afterall, not bad in my opinion. The others are just rumours

    When does his contract expire?
EDIT: I've googled a little and it's 4 years deal? For me it doesn't matter as long as he plays.

For Honda, as for any CSKA player, there will be an (EXPENSIVE) price-tag in the summer. If any club will be willing to pay it, he'll go, it is just this simple, really.

Which means CSKA will sell him before then. Probably much earlier than then.
